THIS IS THE BIG ONE!!
The front side may have fallen at the first hurdle but our exciting youth team are just 2 games away from the 1st Round Proper of the FA Youth Cup and entertain long time rivals Burgess Hill Town next Monday.
Kick off at 7.45 and the admission price is just £3, all pay (although holders of the junior season tickets will be allowed free admission)
The game will be played to a conclusion with extra time and penalties if needed.
Please come along to support the lads, and bring your friends too. You can be the 12th man and make a real difference. If you've seen the lads before you'll know that you will be seeing a thoroughly entertaining game, being played in the right manner and the proper spirit.
The winners will be away in the final qualifying round to the winners of the Lewes/Havant tie

Commiserations to the Youth team. 3-0 was a very harsh scoreline. The last 2 goals scored in the 90th minute and stopage time as we were throwing everything forward to grab an equaliser. The game was very even throughout with both teams having dominance in passages of play. I honestly think if we'd have grabbed the lead then the scoreline could easily have been reversed. There was not a lot to separate the 2 teams and I can't wait to see the rematch in the league. What was also great tonight was the attendance, announced as 160. I took some pics tonight which I've loaded onto the Facebook page. Despite the loss the lads should all be proud of the effort they put in and on another night things could have been different. Hopefully some of that 160 will come along to watch the Youth team throughout the season to support the talent that is on show in the team.

A strange game as two teams struggled to play the constructive football that both are capable of on a pitch that could be most generously described as "lively"
In truth it was a pretty even game and the final scoreline was not a true reflection of the match. The Hillbillies led at half time with one of those freakish goals where a low cross from the right was missed by everyone and ended up in the back of the net. Towards the end of the game Worthing were starting to dominate possession and had one or two chances to level before throwing pretty much everyone forward in the final five minutes only to be caught twice on the break.
Team:
Chris Cook Josh Parazo Jacob Parazo Jazz Gilbertson Greg Gander Josh Etherington Charlie Dennis Harvey Sparks (C) Harry Lockhart Jack Barnes Harry Smith
Subs: Austen Symonds (for Lockhart) Ollie Potts (for Gilbertson) Matt Isaacs Gianni Martinkovic Jimmy Punter
Next match at Woodside Road is on Tuesday 15th October v Eastbourne Town in Lucas Fettes Cup, kick off 7.45

Unlucky lads, lets hope this can spur them on to a great season in the league and some of them pushing for a first team spot.

I agree with CC, let's hope this cup exit can spur our very talented Rebels youth progress in the league. Worthing were never three goals worse than the Hillbillies, but, they werr just caught out at the end. Good attendance of 160 people.
