First of all , what an opportunity for him , congratulations Kwame and I wish you well for the future . Now this to me just clarifies my worries for worthing fans who want Worthing to compete and gain promotion . We are producing very good talented youngsters who will want to go to clubs that are ambitious and want best players . Players who should be wanting to play for a club who want success . I'm telling you now , we will be developing these players to move on . I've said before in previous posts we are letting or telling our best players to move on . On a Saturday I want to watch our club to compete to move up with the best possible players who we have developed or brought in to the club - it's Not going to happen . I'm sure I will get told but look where the club is now BUT we are producing talent for other clubs !!! What does this say for the current players who have just agreed to stay ? Good luck for next season Kwame , it was a pleasure watching you . Another one bits the dust - where will it stop ? Nobody knows ?? I have declined to comment on this forum for a long time some of you may know me from the Away Boys and WFCSA (Mr.Virgoe) I wanted to give you all an insight on how positive this is for the club and #ProvidingThePathway - Kwame wasn't one of our original products and was bought to the club after his fantastic Youth Cup performance vs our youth earlier in the season. He came to the club on Adam's scouting and guidance and proved to be a fantastic addition. This proves that its a genuine oppertunity to progress into professional football! This along with our fantastic support will have non-league players making the decision to come to us over others. And who knows he may come back on loan someday Keep The Faith.

Indeed, two divisions above us, we were never going to compete with that. The very best of luck to David. He has some of the tools to be a really top player but he must improve up there, and quickly. They will see some of his twinkle toes magic but just how much tolerance they will have to 'carry' his lack of industry off the ball will remain to be seen. He is devastatingly good in possession and at our level we could perhaps forgive his pedestrian tracking back and his 'wilderness periods' when he's not in the game at all. We were more patient, we knew he could switch back on and go on one of those amazing bursts. In the National League though?, my guess is he'll need to be more involved all the time. My fear would be he won't be carried for long. That sounds harsh but it's just meant to be honest. Compare and contrast this aspect of his game with Kwame. He could do what David does, but he had a 90 minute engine and was prepared to do the dirty work too. I guess that's why Kwame has gone to the Football League. Welcome back any time, even despite my view on his limitations. Because when he was hot, he was molten lava The Sutton forum's view - Here

Not gonna lie but I'm a little bit concerned about the fact that 3 of our better players have left. Now I don't blame the players themselves for pursuing full-time deals but it means that we're left with the job of trying to replace them which won't be easy.

O dear , o dear , first of all , massive opportunities for these players and good luck to all of them for the future . Totally agree with wwrebel we must get Kleton back . I thought he was excellent for us . The concern I have and you all know my thoughts but what are we telling future signings when our best players are leaving ? What are we saying to our fans for next season . It would be good to get a statement from the club as to plans . We must show fans & future payers that we are serious about moving forward and not just developing players to move on . I know people always talk about " look where we were a few years ago " - don't keep looking back as we have to look forward and at the moment I for one feel a bit dejected π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨ I'm really not happy with the situation .

This is life, as the Cheeky Girls might say. Sure, itβs a blow to lose David and Lucas but thatβs the way it goes. I think we were lucky to hold on to Lucas for as long as we did. David really shone with us. Both have deservedly moved up to higher leagues, and that must be a great testament to the quality of our club. I wish them both the best - both excellent players for us and a real part of Worthing.

That's easy, "play well for Worthing and you'll progress your career". Players should want to play as high up as they can, Lucas, Kwame and David have moved up two or three leagues thanks to Worthing FC. That makes coming to Worthing an easy sell for Hinch to anyone with talent and ambition. Out of interest what was your expectation for the club regarding these players? That we should compete with National League and Football League wages to keep them here?... that path leads to financial suicide. The way to move forward is to keep finding new good hungry players, as well as developing our own. Having regular movement of players upwards from us is a selling point not a detraction. We're not a sleepy backwater here, other clubs higher up the pyramid are taking notice of us and players will see that and want some of that for themselves. I'll feel dejected when we don't sign anyone. It is still May, there is plenty of time and I'm excited to see who joins us.

Totally agree with yourpost markg re these players leaving but to me the statement of the club at the moment is what's the thought of getting shot of Rents / Cranie two quality players who were not going to move up divisions ? It seems to me we have a ship with lots of holes and sinking fast !!!!!
