Callum's gone I'm told Full time at Havent π·π·π· Hmmm H&W website says Jason Prior has left to join Dorking Wanderers (wasn't he with them in the NLS?), so they would be in the market for a replacement.........

Appears a sideways move this to me, okay they are full time but are in a similar position to us, he would have to hit the ground running at Havant to have a chance of staying in the team! He's been playing well for us and scoring goals so we shall see, nothing from either club yet!
If it was to a club higher up then it might have made more sense, but he did t do blinding for Dorking so maybe that's why!

Oh my, that sucks. A huge player for us was Cal.
We probably have to expect this I guess, we're the fresh meat at this level and as such we'll get nibbled at.
Also the downside of having an embarrassment of riches in our squad is we can't keep all our good players happy. Davide's loan whilst great for options made one less place available.

Maybe that was in preparation for this?? Maybe we knew of interest

I'm gutted by this. Do we get a fee?? Depends if he was on contract terms untill the end of the season, still waiting for anything official from either side though!

A great opportunity to continue his development. Very pleased for him!

It is a good opportunity, ultimately at this level they are a much bigger club than us and have had great success so as we are punching above our weight we are always like to see people move on sadly!
Let's just hope he doesn't score against us π
Also Havants twitter page has all but confirmed the move.
Atleast we have received a fee it would appear, hopefully we can unearth another gem somewhere! We are good at that

Firstly, congrats to Cal. As has been said, if you want to play football, the chance to do it as a job isn't one to be scoffed at. We'll get there, we're not there yet, but it'd be a stretch to think about it so soon.
Callum is such a fun guy to watch play, he sucks the ball in like a magnet, can run with it, hold off bigger defenders, and when he turns and hits it, it always has a chance.
But...
Do I think Ollie can (and does) operate at that level? Yes. Davide? Yes (and does). Watching Havant's welcome video you realise how important Worthing's squad are with some of that link up play. We comfortably compete with Havant, but should we based on current budget... Probably not.
Best of luck to Callum. I've loved watching him as part of this Worthing team over the last couple of years... But I think (and hope) we're moving in the right direction.

I have slated Kealy in the past but he's proven me wrong these past 18 months so fair play to him if he wants full time football. As for us, I think we'll do alright for attackers, but we're a way off even about the full time game.

Would we want to be full time currently? The finances needed to do that are extreme even at this level and surely we want to be safe and secure at this level for several years before we do that. Cal leaving is a shame and we will miss him but we always hunt out new players to replace those who leave.
Look who has left since 2017 Bugiel, Adjiboye, Poku, Stevens, Aguiar, Pattenden, Covolan and we always carry on and have still been successful despite those departures. We will have a replacement lined up and I wouldn't be shocked if it came from fairly locally. Odokonyero has scored 18 league goals for a very average Bognor side this season and is only 20, so surely he fits the bill of who we would go for?

Good luck to Callum and to be honest I canβt blame him for taking this opportunity. We all would do the same if we were in his shoes. However personally I feel Worthing is the best club for him. He left once before and we all known how that ended. I am not saying he is not good enough. Always been a fan of Callum. But sometimes a club is not for you for various reasons.
Off course I could be proven wrong on this occasion.
