I fully support the positive comments made on this forum, by the likes of Jules Dean and Glen.
Also thumbs up to Sparky for starting the Canvey island thread early Saturday evening.
Indicating we should move on straight away no amount of gripping will change the result.
In youth football we tell the youngsters and believe me this is incredibly true
"you learn more from your defeats than you do from your victories"
Gary and Jon will be hurting just as much as any of us if not more so and if anyone knows where you get a replacement for Omar at this stage of the season FFS tell us.
I've been thinking about the fact that FIFA fair play should apply at this level to protect clubs from irresponsible owners.
My understanding is that clubs can invest as much as they want in the future of the game i.e. Stadiums, training grounds, youth development and ladies football, but are restricted by what they can spend on male players wages in the first team by turnover.
The last thing I want to see is the club or George in financial trouble.
George has shown incredible strength not only in coping with his injuries and disability, but also in investing his money in this club.
The way him and board are managing this club has to be applauded and as I keep stating no one has cut the budget which has happened repeatedly over the years at this stage of the season.
I would much rather see the money raised from the sale of Omar invested in our ground/pitch which enables the development of our youth players and improves the facilities for our supporters than it being wasted on some has been pro making a few extra quid for his pension having wasted the millions he was lucky to earn in the first place.
For new Worthing fans the present run of bad results gives you the opportunity to take your place alongside a special band of people Sparky, Helijag, Ian F, Roy F, Worthing Scottish, Roger, Kenty, Captain ,the away boys and many quiet others who will support this club win, lose or draw.
Anyone can support a team when its winning but now is the time when you are a rebel now is time to support the club
