The u18s beat Shoreham 7-2 last night to win their 5th league game of the season. Well done to all involved.

Really embarrassing result tonight, followed by the zero coverage by the club. This is meant to be the biggest youth competition around? Sends a crap message to the lads.

Completely agree. Normally we rely on Roger on the forum with the youth updates but presume he’s not involved this season. The club are making a big deal about the women’s team yet the bread and butter of the men’s team they can’t put anything on twitter or here about it, very very poor.

There are no fixtures for the U18's on the club site, I've been checking regularly as if I'm off with nothing to do I quite like to pop down.
The Womens and Academy fixtures have only gone up fairly recently.
What was the 'embarrassing result' and against whom?

Out in the first round of the FA youth cup, which for many young players is the highlight of youth football. But it’s been ignored and disrespected.

As someone speculated I am no longer involved with the U18's. Match Secretary for the Women and Programme Editor is enough to keep me out of mischief
Strangely last nights match which I learned on Sunday was away at Sutton doesn't appear on the Isthmian Youth Website either. The U18's have 2 more fixtures this month. Next Tuesday (10th) they are home to Hastings in the League Cup and then on Thursday 26th visit Hastings in the League. Both matches kick off at 7.45. You can keep up to date at www.isthmianyouth.co.uk/match-info/fixtures
As Women's Secretary I know they have someone who uploads their information direct to the website, perhaps U18's and other younger age groups could look to do something similar and I am more than happy to include information, reports and general news in the Match Programme. But I need the information - clairvoyance is not one of my many skills

No blame at your door Roger, I just think the club neglect the importance of feeling part of it for the younger players and would like to hear more of them. After all, we regularly preach about the pathway

There's nothing on the OS but last night Hastings exacted a modicum of revenge when their youth side beat the young Rebels in an Isthmian Youth League Cup. In a reversal of fortunes from the FA Cup tie it was Hastings who snatched a late equaliser to send the match into extra time. With no goals in extra time it was Hastings who triumphed in the shoot out, winning 6-5.
So far as I can tell there are no more fixtures until the lads travel to the Pilot Field on Thursday 26th September

This explains why Jasper and Ty were subbed early in today's Academy game then. First I knew of tomorrow's game was this... Worthing FC (@worthingfc) Tweeted: Next action here at Woodside Road is tomorrow night, as the #WFCUnder18’s take on Eastbourne Borough. 🗓 Thu 10th Oct ⏰ 7:45pm 📍Woodside Road #WeAreWorthing 🐟🔴 t.co/E8p83gieiA ( Like the Academy games thread I'll try and keep my finger on the pulse of the U18's games to signpost forthcoming games*. Much like the Academy team the U18's play a very good standard of football but are perhaps a little more accessible as unlike the Academy they don't play when most folk are working. So if you have a free evening the lads would benefit from your support. * This won't be easy as often forthcoming fixtures aren't up on the club site, let alone a table. So, as ever, if you get wind of a game and I've missed it, do please share your knowledge with everyone.

2-0 home win, should've been many more.
All the best to our young lad who went off on a stretcher.

So, in summary, a game that hadn't been listed anywhere on the club site so we had no idea was happening... is no longer happening. Triffic. There has been nothing on the U18's page for fixtures all season (even the result from last week is still showing as a 'late result' - you're not kiddin'!!). Following the U18's is rapidly becoming a bit like attending an early 90's rave... no information until just beforehand to throw the 'feds' off the trail. I half expect the next game to be announced by way of a phone call to a public telephone box at Buck Barn Services If this vacuum of advanced information continues I shall't bother curating a thread for these games which would be a real shame, there was a good turnout of support last week so folk are interested.
