Shortest matchday thread ever!? Lasted all of 40ish minutes!!! Does that mean Guildford forfeit the tie and we progress through to the next round as that is what is happening in the FA Cup so far this season? (until the Football League clubs join the competition and the rules are magically adapted!!)

Just to add a bit of context here, the WFC team playing in the SCFL U18 West are the U16 squad. These lads are still at school, while a fair few of the Chichester team they played yesterday drove themselves to the game, whilst also sporting full beards The bare results don't look great, but performances are improving, as the lads learn to deal with the increased physicality of the opposition teams whilst remaining true to our club's principles of technical, passing football. Every goal conceded yesterday was from a set piece... The referee yesterday, and the opposition coaches to be fair, were very complimentary about the football played by the WFC boys - they are gaining experience of U18 football this year, which is a massive step up in many ways, and this will be of great benefit to them in the longer term. Anyway, good luck to the real U18s tonight, am sure they will prove too strong for Horsham YMCA

They certainly are too strong!
After conceding a worldie of a free kick early on its 1-5 at half time and they are running rings round their hosts.

Final score 2-8.
A dominant performance throughout.
Just like their first the 2nd goal was a 'top bins' effort from outside the box so both goals conceded were pretty much unstoppable.
Just like the Women's team there is a clear step up in quality this season from the (midweek) U18's making these teams thoroughly entertaining to watch.
The club is more than just the first team and if you haven't ventured down to watch the other teams, or even if you have in seasons past, its well worth the effort... and the queues for the bar are far shorter 😉

If they develop and improve to the level of the current U18 side they will do very well as they get older and gain more experience. The U18s played very well tonight and were far too strong for YMCA.
