Dartford came through the other Semi Final.
We beat them away on the opening day of the season... and we host the home league tie this very Sunday at 3pm.
The final is yet to be scheduled.

Several games still to play but when it's all over this may turn out to have been the title decider. Clearly the two best sides going head to head at Woodside this afternoon... but only one can go up! L&SERW Table - FA WebsiteI don't push this thread nearly as much as I could, I know Womens football isn't for everyone. But if there was one fixture you made the effort to give it a try this would be it. Good luck girls 👍🏻

Shame we can’t go this afternoon. Have to admit we do like going and support the women’s team. The standard of play is good. They could do with some more support. The bar is open and you can buy food. And in the end that will help the club again to help to develop the ground. But like you said it is not for everyone. But I would say just give it go and you’ll never know

I still need to give it five minutes or so to recalibrate from mens football but once adjusted its very good... light years ahead of where it was just a couple of seasons back! I fully understand and support why it happens so its not a criticism at all but as a male attendee with no kids I do find I have to isolate myself from the distraction of screaming children in attendance. So if you are going for the first time have that in mind, the noise and movement off the pitch can be a bit distracting. On a day like today though there's plenty of space to enjoy a pint in the sun watching a Worthing team gunning for promotion. What's not to like in that? Edit - and free for season ticket holders don't forget 😉

I echo the step up in standards over the past couple of years. The Worthing blueprint of youth and passing is clear, they play tough and strong, and with another promotion on the cards, it's good to support the club.
Just don't compare it to the mens' or u18s... it's a different stage of development so appreciate it in it's own right. Anyone who watched the WC can see which direction the sport is going for women and girls and as always, Worthing are in a good position to climb that pyramid!

They love going especially standing behind the goal. And off course spending my money 😂 And yes I agree sometimes the mascots are very loud!

FT WFC 1-3 EUFC
The better team won so no complaints about the result. But because they were better they really didn't need to resort to all the gamesmanship, 'ref playing', constant delays for boot lace tying and tactical 'injuries'. There was even a first for me, I've never before seen a player go down so the physio could bring on a pair of scissors to cut holes in their socks at the calves 🤷🏻♂️
Millwall (in 3rd) were also masters of these dark arts a few weeks back. The absence of it was always something refreshingly better than the men's game.
As we're the clear next best side to 'Fleet I can't see anyone taking a point off them in the run in. We could well go the whole season with just this one defeat and still not go up. The joy of one promotion place!
A relatively decent crowd, swelled by the contents of 'Fleets plush executive coach... every other away team and fans drives themselves or cram into a minibus.
And therein lies a parallel with the mens team conundrum. What it takes it seems to push on to the next level for the men and women is the lavish and extravagant outlay of resources and achieving next level 'housery... neither of which are all that appealing sadly 😔
Ho hum, at least we still have a cup final to look forward to... they don't.

Aylesford 0-9 Worthing 👏🏻
They're trying their best to claw back this goal difference. But with Ebbsfleet winning 7-1 we still trail by 18 with a game in hand (four games to play).
But all that is put to one side now as it's the cup final next week 🏆

Not the first trophy for the club this season and hopefully not the last either.
Well done one and all 🥳
