Originally scheduled for the 21st September, this re-arranged game was postponed due to The Scholars cup commitments. The new date of the 15th October was then also moved as they continued to progress. In preserving their team (and presumably their pitch) for the televised visit of Barnet they were able to secure a creditable draw, eventually going out in the replay. So whilst they may have had a good cup run our fixture board had more scrubbings out than a Brexit planner.
With the weather set to remain dry, we're on for Tuesday... at the time of writing!
Last season this fixture saw a 1-1 draw at the Pakex stadium, Joel Colbran with our goal. The same score occurred in the reverse fixture in February with Jalen Jones our scorer.
The Scholars find themselves seven points and five places behind us in 10th place on 16 points. Perhaps understandably due to their cup run they have only played 10 games though. We won't move anywhere after this fixture as only Bowers & Pitsea and Bognor play midweek. We are three points behind fourth placed Hornchurch but have a 13 goal weaker goal difference to overcome, I wonder how that happened?

Form wise we're still the 2nd best side over the last six games, Potters bar are 9th with 10 points from a possible 18. They are undefeated in the league in that period though with four draws and having won their last two games. We all know our away form is good but it's hard to tell where Potters Bar are at home in the league. The clocks may have gone back but they have only played three home league games. They beat Carshalton but that was back on the opening day of the season in early August, since them they were humped by Folkestone and drew with Cray... but both of those games were in August too, no home league games in two months!

I think Joel's suspension kicks in for this one (as ever though I could be wrong) but Fin Stevens deputised very well on Saturday and would likely keep his place. Beyond that it is a case of how the minor injuries are progressing and how much rotation we try. On Saturday Hinch appraised the situation as follows...
"We have Buddy really ramping up his rehab this week and should have a few players back very soon as it's strains and knocks rather than anything too serious keeping the players out".
Come on you Rebels!
