Good performances all good over the pitch today. Wheeler was sensational though imo. Lots of good teamwork today. It all seems to be coming together.
It says something about previous posts mentioning not noticing Paxman (who was one of our most influential players in our play off push last year) to again not notice him until the 75 minute. They had some players, but humans are safe for the moment if that is what AI produces.
Thought the ref had an excellent game. Set his stall out and played advantage early on for both teams, got nearly all the big decisions right, but then clamped down as it got niggly towards the end.
Final point to their disgusting #2 who 2foot jumped in on Wheeler AFTER he scored. Should have been sent of then (only fault of the ref on the day). Clearly thinks he's good but should look at the attacks through him and be a bit more humble!

Interestingly Bally number 2 is the owners son... wonder why he gets a game!

7 goals, 2 clean sheets, 6 points and seemingly no injuries without having to get out of 3rd gear makes for a decent Xmas, New Year period.
Very comfortable today, blatant penalty converted by Ollie, few other opportunities created. Eastbourne having the one good chance flicked over the bar.
Second 45 was mostly one way traffic in our favour as we upped our intensity a bit, moved the ball a bit quicker and capitalised on the spaces Eastbourne left at the back.
Nicky smashed home from close range after a good move down their right. Fine team goal for 3.0 with Kane overlapping down the left and cutting it back for Ricky to blast home and a fantastic volley from Luque after another raid down their right.
No surprise that they have decided to part with their manager. Borough have looked a poor side across the 2 games with no visible style of play and an evident lack of any game plan.
I see the National League have tweeted that we are possibly title contenders! Massive game next Saturday at home v Chelmsford.

Anyone else picked up on what Adam said on new goalie joining the club? Wondering if it was the goalie that was warming up with Rocco today.

Happy New Year everyone. I thought that was an excellent, controlled team performance today. Yes, Eastbourne are poor but you still have to beat the team in front of you. I don't quite understand the "lack of intensity" comments when in the first half we were against a very strong wind and opponents that needed to win. Having gone a goal up, why would you want to take unnecessary risks in the rest of the first half when we have the wind behind us in the 2nd half. With the wind behind us, I thought we were excellent. To me it was a brilliant display of tactics and game management with exceptional displays from all involved. Even when Eastbourne had the ball, the closing down and chasing was so good. I think that is 16 goals scored in our last four games and we are the league's top scorers. Also really pleased to hear Adam's mention of the performances of Michael and Greg. Another tough game next week but we are looking good at the moment and now 3rd in NLS.

Yes , I heard that to about the keeper. Rocco did well again today I thought. It will be interesting to see who we have bought in.

Adam Murray to be the new man in at Eastbourne, again one of those types with a very good coaching background, but not a whole lot of actual Managerial experience... kind off feels like they may have gone for Beard MK2, was most recently assistant and Cheltenham Town.
Has now been appointed after Simon Leslie said only yesterday it will take time to find the right manager... Reading the article on their website, they do say some very odd things in relation to appointments...
