Weather, lower division, apathy but most of all I think people are fed up with the same old people running the club......the Rebels don't appear to be going anywhere....and I'm not sure whether they ar eset up to survive in the premier, even if they get there. ;D

Of course we'll survive if we get there, its the 5 year plan back on track dont you know I wonder how much advertising costs. I wonder whether (if league rules even allowed it) it would be worth the club advertising like mad in advance of a saturday game nearer the end of the season, slashing prices in half just to get bodies through the door and see how many come back again.

I doubt that the league rules would preclude it at all but if you want real coverage the costs are very significant (I was quoted a minimum of £100 plus VAT for a slot on Splash FM re the local Beer Festival). Far better to get the press on board and get free publicity if we can. Or get volunteers to distibute/hand out flyers.

If we want press coverage on radio (splash/SCR) we might have to pull a bit of a 'stunt' like some inititive or maybe a walk to an away game. That'd give us the press coverage, raise a few notes for charidee and get us some publicity as well.
Handing out stuff in town is a great idea, be it free/half price tickets or whatever. If we make the play offs they're likely to be away so attendances aren't an issue sadly, but we've enough home games left to make a difference and try and get gates back to the 400 or so we're used to.

NOw there's a thought.... Is it possible to have some words round (iv not been a regular for long so dont even know the set-up of WFCSA, ie if it has meetings or dialogue with the club) and guage the interest. I think flyering in town by volunteers is a possible, but as this can be a bit intrusive having local shops on side with flyers on counters, probably the sports shops most appropriately, could yield some results.
