I'll try and get along, finances and stuff permitting. If I can get back to London that night it'd be better, but I'll try and pop along for some of it anyway, to thank the club, whatever division we are in for a great season.

I'm against renaming the ground, again, although anything is better than Gladwish.
Unfortunately I read A2B as A28: maybe it's my screen.
I don't use taxis. If I can't drive myself or get the family to drop me or pick me up, I'll walk; and I get my bus pass in just over 2 years. It's probably all those years of walking the dog(s), seeing taxis speeding on the seafront(close up some other cars exhaust); turning left at the southern end of Grand Avenue whilst looking right and nearly knocking us down; sounding horns whilst stationary or after 23:00(just thought I'd have an anti-taxi rant - of course an A2B driver wouldn't do any of the aforementioned).
What's this about The Tavern being closed on Saturday? - what about the VP's tea?

Press conference. Jim Collins replacing Alan Pook as vice-chairman might be considered newsworthy to some people. I read about his appointment on ther back of the Herald. I wondered who 'Jim' was in the press release on the OS, now I know thanks to the ever reliable Herald. It wasn't me after all. Is Jim's secret appointment the start of the new open and honest policy? And which gang is he in? The presentation evening last year was shortly after the appointment of Mr Agnew as chairman. I didn't notice him there to meet the fans or introduce himself. Danny Bloor was there - a man who has my respect for many reasons. He's the first name on most people's shitlist on many occasions for many reasons, but he was there. Is Jim Collins going to go to this year's knees-up? It's getting to the point where I don't really care - all the crying for info falls on deaf ears while a select few always seem to know the score. I suppose, in the great scheme of things, I don't really need to know. As long as there's a team to watch on Saturdays I shouldn't worry (and what a quality team we have now). Over the last 8 years or so, I've grown from a casual observer to someone who loves Worthing FC and watching them at Woodside Road. Regimes have come and gone, players have come and gone, but the fans have been a constant. I'd like to think I've made a few friends along the way, and honestly had some fantastic times. Thank you to everyone who has made that possible. After a few hours of thinking about it, I've decided that I'll probably delete my account here and join the faceless throng who go to watch football. There isn't much room at Worthing FC for everyday fans who care what happens, so with regret etc etc. Happily marching towards the play-offs, will support the team (and Alan & Danny) through thick and thin. I'm already looking forward to next season, whatever division we may be in, and will buy the new away shirt to show my support. As for the behind the scenes stuff, none of my business. Play up Worthing! Please support the presentation evening. On reflection, I may not bother.

Jim it's a shame you feel that way, i know you are passionate about the club and normally have a lot to say about things.
So you know Jim (Collins) was not going to be mentioned at the P/C on tuesday and was due to be introduced formally to the club after the next Board meeting.
Dave Agnew was due to chair the P/C on tuesday but received an urgent call to take his Young daughter to Hospital, and had no option but to introduce Jim to the Press because of this.
Nobody wanted to take the Day away from the main story of the sponsorship deal.
The New Open and Honest Policy is about to start and I hope to be part of it.
I would just like to send my best wishes to Dave and Family and hope Your little girl is ok.

I personally think the club is slowly and I use that term losely becoming more open and honest. If you go down and ask questions I believe you get answers. The press conferance was a fantastic idea to announce such a deal. The Horsham fiasco is out of the clubs hands at the moment. Legally they cannot say anything and thats why nothing was released at present, and I apoligise that Horsham FC have seen it fit to brand it all over their website and papers, we won't be doing that until the time is right, as a website man alongside Alistair and Steve we are nothiding anything, the information goes on as and when we recieve it. Regarding the "Football League" statement that was an error on my behalf and the press release has now been changed, I apoligise for the mistake. I personally think (for what its worth check my karma!!!) that the club is going in the right direction. Its fantastic about the new telly, we had football on in the bar last night and with support from the fans the club is on the up - that can only be a good thing!

Jon, you have no need to apologise on behalf of Horsham and nobody is blaming the website team. I do agree that if you ask you do get answers (mind you, there is a good chance that asking two different individuals will get you two contradictory answers ) That it seems to some is the real nub of the issue - we are in danger of losing that goodwill - it needs us to see a united Board all pulling in the same direction.

To be fair it is only one board member who seems to be a bit of a maverick and his record is hardly perfect.
We all need to pull together and get behind Alan and his team.
