I have heard rumours that as the season is over 75% complete that any teams with games left, which is everyone, would be awarded 3 points for each game that hasn't been played. Seems pretty ridiculous to me, teams with a fixture backlog would shoot up the table and a total of 6 points would be awarded for each game. I have no idea what will happen. There was meant to be a restructuring of the non league pyramid taking place at the end of this season. Will that go ahead anyway?? With social distancing now in place for many weeks when can any sport look to realistically start to resume? My fear on the football issue is that many clubs won't be able to survive financially and will not be around to take part in next seasons competitions, whenever that will be. I could see the seasons results being calculated by ppg but the 3 points per game seems unfair especially to teams in the relegation zone/fighting relegation. By that logic you say that Villa are going to beat Sheff U in the pl and stay up relegating West Ham (I think). It would be a lot easier for the authorities to declare null and void. Another factor is Bury. With their now being 1 less team in the pyramid from league 1 down they will have to do something about that. I cant see there only being 91 teams in the fl next season. And that is without clubs like Oldham Macclesfield Southend etc folding due to the loss of income.

Would definitely be a lawsuit if they went down that path

Don't think the Premier League is 75% complete yet. Interesting to see what the Premier League decide to do as I think other leagues may copy their final decision. Would be a farcical way of deciding leagues.

I'd imagine that pl decision would filter down as has happened with postponements this weekend and beyond

Our friends from Bognor seem to be very quiet on this matter? I thought they would be the first to start mouthing off about this current season potentially being void! Are they self isolating??

That's a holding statement at most, nothing new. I've no problem with waiting for a decision, we all understand that football, all sport, has a massive decision to make. A decision that shouldn't be rushed. But don't throw a starving dog a rubber bone. Take all the time you need to make a definitive unified resolution. No-one is stamping their feet demanding information ASAP so spare us the drip fed non responses and give us the final decision when you're good and ready. We all know it's over now.

I think the whatever the Premier League and EFL decide to do about this season has to be replicated down the pyramid.

I think the whatever the Premier League and EFL decide to do about this season has to be replicated down the pyramid. I think that's how it'll pan out. The domino effect was palpable after their decision to suspend, the EFL and non league then followed like for like within hours. The problem with finding the right solution for our level is that any decision the EPL makes won't have considered the unique fragility of non league one little bit. It'll all be about maximising revenue FOR THEM not the wider football family that they divorced years ago. It isn't as simple as a one size fits all solution.

I don’t get this? If you mean because you wouldn’t win promotion,I didn’t realise you had already secured this..All clubs are massively going to lose out financially especially if their houses aren’t in order so to speak. Me truthfully as a Rocks fan I wants the season to finish,am Interested to see who finishes where and if you’re top then you rightly deserve to go up as champions as the best team in the league for 19/20. I don’t see the the season finishing in my eyes, maybe the top divisions but I just don’t see non league doing this. For those that are interested little article from Jack Pearce. www.bognor.co.uk/sport/football/coronovirus-football-could-teams-be-banned-playing-until-time-next-year-2482422
