It stinks to high heaven! It's not what you know it's who you know. Talk about feathering your own nest?

To be fair heljag, this will be an FA decision rather than an Isthmian one. I still think we could be looking at December for the restart, especially if people are twats this weekend (says he who has just come back from the pub)

Like I said it's not what you know it's who you know funny null and void from our league down. Already one club out of Business. Because of null and void I suspect more to follow? ?

Possible October start with grounds allowed 25% capacity is what I have read today on Twitter.

The season will start when he's (stadium is ready)!! Well I suppose he is on the board. And all decisions have to suit him.

A little more from everyone's favorite mad uncle in the Herald... A classic example of how to say nothing meaningful in 500 words.

Saturday 19th of September it is then Following on from the Government timetable announcement yesterday the FA have issued their latest guidance for non league football. The linked article from the Isthmian Site outlines that competitive friendlies can commence in August while league and cup games can start in September (our league having nominated the 19th to kick off). LinkWe now know the date, which is good*, but we're keen to know next how the season will look. Different suggestions have been mooted but clarity is needed next on how many games will make up the season, will it be regionalised, will it be home AND away against ALL sides, which cup competitions will be run and what contingencies will be built in to accommodate any second wave of the virus. Crucially I also hope the discussions Jack never had and consensus Jack never gained required to null and void a season in future will have been agreed so that, God forbid, we find ourselves needing to 'artificially' conclude season 2020/21 it doesn't get decided by Jack on the hoof. Everyone should be involved in that process and know what will happen BEFORE a ball is kicked. But that's just the small matter of the structure of the competition to clarify... ...the practicalities of fans actually attending these games looks virtually impossible when you read the bits at the end of the article. Taken literally current covid rules would mean no more than 30 fans (or no fans at all if the two teams are included in the 30) could gather with everyone having to leave their names and contact details for ' track and trace'. I don't really see how grass roots football could even hope to survive in those circumstances so massive movement is going to have to be made to change the current over arching social distancing rules before September 19th. *assuming those huge obstacles are overcome then that date is better than good for me, it's absolutely chuffing perfect. My impending and long planned career change means for the first time since the early 90's I will have every weekend and every weekday evening free... I make the switch on September 17th
I guess this must be how Jack Pearce felt when by 'pure fluke' fate handed him a 'complete coincidence' just as he was wrestling with the tricky conundrum of how to squeeze a complete pitch overhaul and a stand development into a normal close season. Good for you Jack, luck favours the Machiavellian brave.

Good news. Now needs the DCMS to approve the return of spectators as currently groups of over 30 are not allowed at present outdoors. Slowly football is on its way back.

Good news. Now needs the DCMS to approve the return of spectators as currently groups of over 30 are not allowed at present outdoors. Slowly football is on its way back. Well they're going to allow 5,000 racegoers to day 5 of Goodwood early next month as part of a government trial to test how safe sporting crowds will be... Herald - LinkI guess it's only by doing these sorts of things that science can underpin us getting the green light by mid September.
