Should have been Horsham and BHA at Worthing Bridges and Worthing at Horsham not hard is it ! Indeed. Having both venues at clubs grounds in the other semi-final would, i'm sure, have boosted the gate as the local fans are 'interested partys'. Talking of gates, and having looked high and low in the usual places to try and answer Kenty's question... I can find no figure anywhere for the attendance last night.

Found it. Showing on Sussex senior Cup twitter as 662. I certainly thought the attendance was greater than that.

FT: Worthing are into the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup Final, for the first time since 2016!
They will face either @horshamfc or @officialbhafc - much to the delight of the majority of the 662 in attendance here this evening!

As for a neutral ground, I discounted Horsham purely for the hassle of those relying on public transport getting home after an evening game. No problem on a Saturday, but a 45 minute walk back to the station on not so pleasant paths is not ideal. Interesting to see how tomorrow pans out. If all goes well, then an ideal venue for the final. Especially if it is a Worthing/Horsham final. Either Lewes or Bognor would be ideal. Either venue would create a proper cup final atmosphere. The Amex with 2,000 inside is a no no!!!!!!!

For those unable to attend the league game away to Bishops Stortford on Tuesday evening. The remaining semi final Horsham v Brighton is at Culver road on the same evening, KO 1915hrs. Maybe worth a trip to check out the opposition.

Why a weekday evening match, It would have been great to take my Grandkids there, but not possible due school etc. We are supposed to be a family club after all!

Totally agree. Best to play on a Sunday afternoon. A much larger attendance would be guaranteed.

That's me out; getting home at very silly o'clock just to make to blazers happy isn't going to happen.

I agree it seems a bit silly to have it on a weekday. But I don’t think the club had much influence on the decision. To me it looks more like a case of not thinking it through by the Sussex FA. Same as playing the semis at Culver road. Awful ground for an occasion like that. It might be a weekday game but my 9 year old is going. You never know when it will happen again. The possibility of a double

Unfortunately you have to fit in around BHAFC and their situation. Pretty sure you’re lucky it’s even there this season as the talks was it was elsehwere. Womens World Cup and an early turn around due the mid season break for the World Cup this year at the Amex.
Amex under lights for the final was class when Rocks won it last, but we ended up in extra time and having to leg it and practically miss the lifting of the trophy due to the train situation getting back to Bognor.
Anyway enjoy and good luck, and don’t let the stewards win and STAND UP!!!

I'd thankfully quite forgotten the joyless sterility of league football clubs with their bloody rules and regulations... that was until I read the small print for the tickets.
No cash. No drum. Allocated seating. Segregation. Paying for parking. ...and flags have to have a bleedin' fire safety certificate FFS 🤦
Could we not have found a more appropriate, less trumped up and farty, more down to earth and above all NEUTRAL venue that doesn't suck the joy out of the event as eveyone sits in one stand gazing out over the remaining totally empty 3/4 of a stadium?
I just want to watch my team, but all the aforementioned borrax regarding the venue is turning me right off.

Best I keep my thoughts about holding the final at the Amex to myself!!!!!!! Totally agree with Keithsson's above post. Just as a thought, Littlehampton had over 3,000 in there ground recently for the FA Vase semi final. A cup final where ever it is held should be be a ground packed to the rafters to generate a proper final atmosphere.

Crawley would have been my choice. I'm sure Sussex FA will listen to feedback and make appropriate adjustments in the future... not!
