Ebbsfleet progress to meet Dorking in the final... so we get a trip to Chippenham Town 👍🏻 For me that's how play-offs should end up, the two highest placed teams going head to head. Personally I'd rather Ebbsfleet progressed from here though, Dorking is almost local. Thinking about it, I'd rather money bags Dorking went up. If they stayed, there is the danger of them poaching our players. Going up may mean a better chance of getting Kane Wills and Davide Rodari? Totally agree about about the play offs fiasco. National League North. 2nd Brackley 87 points, 3rd Flyde 80 points. But play off final is York 5th 66 points against Boston 7th 63 points. That's a huge difference in points. There must be a better way of deciding who goes up?

Dorking promoted to the National League in dramatic fashion after extra time. Ebbsfleet were seemingly up after a 93rd-minute goal but NO!

Really tense affair at Dorking. For long periods both sides cancelled each other out. Ebbsfleet went ahead before Dorking levelled just before half time. 2nd half was very even, few chances before the half came to life in the 6 added minutes of stoppage time. Ebbsfleet went ahead on 90 minutes, game was then held up for 2 minutes whilst a flare was removed from the pitch and then in the 98th minute - the additional 2 minutes added on for the flare incident - Dorking made it 2.2. Rutherford smashed home a fine shot after a well worked move in the first period of extra time and Dorking saw out the remaining minutes to seal their 12th promotion in 20 years.

That really is insane isn't it 😯 Wanting them to stay down was a purely selfish motivation, on balance saintsfan2009 is right, it's better to have them gone. It's not that we're likely to mount a promotion challenge or anything but that's two games against a club guaranteed to be strong out the way. I don't know a great deal about Ebbsfleet but I doubt their funding model and trajectory comes close to Dorking's

Only in National South after being relegated on PPG by 0.002 points.

They were indeed full time this season but I'm not sure that will be the case next season; I may be wrong but I suspect there was a strong element of "sh*t or bust" about this season after their very unlucky previous relegation from Connie National
