It's not too late to put in a transfer request Jasper 😉
My thought are mostly covered by Bally but I reckon swap Mo for Cal and that'd be my starting X1 v Dover. Not because Mo wasn't good, he's always impressed on the ball, you just can't escape the difference in physicality.
El Abd? Early days, but he would definitely have got a card in a league match for the early cynical take out and then he clattered into the back of someone just afterwards. We saw at Horsham last season what happens when we're exposed to pace through the middle, I do wonder which of the two of them will be suspended the most next season 😬
All in all though a very good showing against a better quality development squad than Swindon. I'm told by a friend more schooled in FL squads than I that there were actually a fair smattering of first teamers in there too.
Onwards 👊🏻

Excellent stuff yesterday. Some of the combinations in the first 25 mins were fantastic.
The challenge from El-Abd - 😬 - hoping for less of that!
Decent crowd in, the fanzone bar was great (though hope the North East facilities are open again on Saturday), and another convincing win! On we go!

Yes much better game than the Swindon one, two different teams each half gives us the strength in depth we'll likely need across the season, although as others have suggested Hinsh will have his hands full trying to keep all of them sweet for game time!
Also the El-Abd 'tackle' was directly in front of us, and I'd just said to my mate I'd be interested to see how he copes with any one turning him at pace - with the result being a rugby tackle. I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt because the season will test him out over the long term, and no doubt his experience in other aspects of the game will help, but I have doubts that he can cope with anyone running at him at pace, especially as Racine isn't exactly Linford Christie either.........
Liked what I saw of the tall blond lad in midfield in the second half (McCloud?) could have a raw gem there, reminded me of ex Albion Paul Rogers.

Really enjoyed game last night can anyone tell me who numbers 19 and 20 were many others I knew but not them. I didn't keep track of the numbers they were wearing sadly. But if one of those was the tall blonde lad in the middle of the park then that I believe was Sammy 'McCloud'. Now, 'McCloud' is how the club's Twitter spelt it last night but that seems a bit weird to me, McLeod is the usual spelling of that name. Not much out there to research on as there's a much older and higher profile player of the same name. However this lad looks about right to me?... Transfermarket - Link

Looks like the same lad. Think we have to have international clearance from the authorities before he can feature in league and Cup games. I know he was playing for an Icelandic side last season.

It was Luke Robinson who limped off. You've been caught out by the lookalike syndrome haha.
