Brilliant, thank you Kenty, that'll be a big help this coming season 👍🏻
When I get some time to sit down properly on the desktop version I will convert them to hyperlinks.
As I mentioned before I feel the most appropriate place for long term reference like these is to incorporate the links into the existing 'WFC Directory' sticky... and expand the heading
I'm mindful that too many stickies on a board means any newly updated threads appear further and further down the front page. Folk then have to remember to scroll down to see if there's anything new on every site visit.
The board layout in mobile mode (which I figure most of us use almost all the time) is such that three's the limit before new content might not get noticed... and we don't have so many site users we can afford to lose any through missing new content 😉
That's my logic anyway 🤷🏻

The replies to the original tweet are well worth a look

Not overly proficient with the Twitterverse myself, but for the benefit of those of our number with no Twitter access at all a couple of contributors have us down a 'dark horses', one has us as their play-off winner.
For me 'dark horse' sums us up perfectly, although not in the traditional sense of the phrase. It's meant to mean that we're a team that could do well but it could also mean 'we just haven't the foggiest idea what this team will do'. And that's just it, first season up no-one really knows whether we'll sink, swim or just about tread water.
Normally pre-season a predictions poll of our own is considered. I'm still considering it but truth be told its anyone's guess this season. It'll be interesting finding out but with no form to guide us and so many of our squad with little or no NLS experience any predictions would be like chucking a dart at a dartboard blindfolded.

To add to that, being given the surprise package title could also mean 'not cannon fodder about to last just 1 year in the league'. I think that is a more appropriate take on the situation. Hopefully we'll make it hard for other teams to get points at Woodside and be a team that can take points off anyone on our day. I'd take league safety and an FA cup run any day of the week!

A home game on a Saturday in the sunshine, will do for me. Don't mind who we play although I'll say Dulwich Hamlet. It's been a while since we've played our old mates from the Hamlet ( unless you were in the fans game vs DH recently ) and we've had some special times with them. They will bring a decent crowd and we will all have a party.

I'd like Ebbsfleet. A team at the top but not where they want to be versus us on the up. As previously said a 'yard stick' match would be what I'd want then a build up to the likes of Dulwich, Havant, Eastbourne etc. It's a marathon, not a sprint!

Like Bonfireboy, all I'd prefer is a home game so it properly feels like the season is underway.
But ultimately we've all got to play each other sometime so what will be will be... it'll just be nice to kick off somewhere other than Folkestone for the first time in years 😄

If we're away, then either Oxford City - for the food (yes I'm obsessed), or Dulwich Hamlet - I'm definitely going to that one as their ground is round the corner from my old uni digs. If we're at home, Dover or Weymouth.

On a personal note I'd be happy with St Albans at home too. I grew up close to SA and supported the Saints from the age of about 14 until I was in my early 20's and moved away. Clarence Park was the first ground I visited without parental guidance and one of the first places I drove to after passing my driving test! I also bought my first match day pint there! Oh the memories. Oh my youth. Oh my hair. Where did it all go! 😄 I've seen us play up there but never the Saints at Woodside. It'll be a special little tingle but of course I'll hope we batter them.

Bath away (or even Taunton/Chippenham) would be perfect as that's where my eldest lives. Otherwise Welling,Dartford or Ebbsfleet away as my youngest lives in Sidcup

Hmm, hoping to save them for September or maybe April. Basically warm/dry enough to enjoy a weekend break around the game... but not during peak season when everything costs 50% more 👎

Would be nice to start with a game at home. But not bothered really who we play to be honest. Just hope we get a decent start to keep the momentum from last year going. And by that I mean good attendance and good atmosphere

Taunton away would be my choice. Only seen 3 Worthing games since I moved 15 years ago!
