Having been forced to 'concentrate on the league' we get an early chance to remount the horse with the visit of Farnborough.
Boro currently occupy the top relegation spot, 21st, with just seven points from their ten games so far. Dartford's win against Hungerford on Saturday, the only NLS fixture unaffected by the Cup, dropped us down a place to 5th with twenty points from our ten games.

Form wise and whilst our unbeaten season continues, the proliferation of draws however sees us drop down to the 7th best team in the league with 12/18. Farnborough with five defeats and just one positive result in the last six games (and even that was only a 1-0 away win at Cheshunt) are in 20th place with 3/18.
Home and away form comparisons are closer though. We are only the 14th best home side with 6/12 points. Boro are the 19th best away side with 3/15 points. As a guide to the places they've left empty handed the four defeats came at Hemel (1-0), Ebbsfleet (4-2), Havant (1-0) and Tonbridge (2-1). So they haven't been thumped by any stretch even though they've travelled to three of the current top ten including both of the runaway NLS leaders.
That says to me they don't seem to be cavalier like Cheshunt were and it'll once more be a case of 'break us down if you can'. They will look at the same results and form tables and consider a point at Woodside Road as eminently achievable. The number of teams leaving us with something will only encourage others to adopt the same strategy.

That said they were very much on the front foot in making the next round of the cup on Saturday, even despite going down to ten men in the first half. Not sure what is more amusing really, the bad day at the office for the home keeper or the unintentional 'commentary' of the lady in the stand near the microphone..."take him with you"
Either way a thumping 5-1 away win at Swindon Supermarine might encourage them to try attacking us after all?, we'll see...

They also has a 'squad game' run out last night against Cove in the Hampshire Senior Cup, winning 7-2 at home. Nine changes so shouldn't impact our game too much. That said this it was an interesting and revealing interview with their manager afterwards. He mentions our game, mentions the confirmed suspension of one (great referee rant BTW) and an injury to another of his players. But the subtext was 'we really need to concentrate on Worthing and not get distracted by the FA Cup run'... only to then go on to talk primarily about the fantastic opportunity to get to round one proper next Saturday. Sandwiched between cup games this could be a good time to play them

From our side of things Joel's knock at Concord has had a bit of time time to heal, Javaun Splatt comes back from being cup tied and Moe Shubbar was presumably prevented from playing by Crawley Town so he didn't get cup tied. That's three possibly returnees.
Our main issue at the weekend though was an AWOL central midfield to provide an outlet and drive. Sadly we don't have a lot to come back into contention in that department. Kane had a quiet game by his high standards (and he has played a lot!) but both Sammi and Barks were on the pitch for that performance so its going to have to be them stepping up and putting in a better shift. Connor Honore is possible fresh blood in the middle but he's been out injured for a while now. Elsewhere it was good to see Alex Parsons in the pre-match warm up, he's a possible addition somewhere at some point.
There are no easy games at this level but on the face of it we shouldn't be up against a team of the quality of Eastbourne... they'll only be that good if we make them look that good! Big game this, we need a big reaction.
Come on you Rebels!
