Is it confirmed than that H is going? If that is true good for him. But the club might have to look at 2 very good goalies who can both challenge each other. But also provide cover. Don’t really know the goalie from today, and appreciate he got thrown into the deep today. But not convinced he is good enough for Worthing. No it isn't, just rumours of a return to the north. There should be no surprise though, he nearly left last summer and he's clearly way better than NLS level. But yes, going forwards I think having just one keeper at the club is ( a bit like players driving themselves across country to away matches) a throwback to a level of football we've clearly progressed from now. To push forwards still further these little anachronisms need to be consigned to history. Small gains in lots of little areas add up and we don't have to go professional to act professional.

Ultimately we can't be disappointed with an over achievement on that scale, the less said about the game today the better, but we punched so far above our weight this season it's unbelievable!! Next season we have the ability to power on, recruit better players and look to move forward and go again, the play offs are where we need to be targeting again next season, the title would be lovely but it's such a big ask! I belive Rodari is out of contract at Crawley, so an easy one to get in! If it's true that H has already gone then that's a huge loss 😔 but I have faith we will find a suitable replacement! We need an experienced head at CM and another striker realistically, Callum want to come back maybe? Robbo returning will help with the striker situation. Totally agree re the need in central midfield - there was one defence-splitting pass from Jesse today which highlighted what a pity it has been that he's barely featured this season. Rodari I'm not wholly convinced by tbh. More than one from Jessie, and just his confident swagger on the ball breeds hope he might come back. Davide I'd like to come back. I think some of his in/out effectiveness is down to his knee situation which would clearly need managing, management our sheer number of back to back games couldn't always allow recently. But quality he does possess and he's someone whose had to lead a nomadic existence as Crawley clearly didn't want him. Signed and settled here I reckon there'd be a step up in his game too. An interesting summer awaits.

1 unsavoury note from today, speaking to a steward there was one of our fans evicted from the ground, and seeing as he entered at the same time as myself and others, it was a big surprise he was even let in by security at the start! Given the message by the club, I felt that was a little sad to see and taints what was a good day for the fans overall!

Lots of very fair comments about the game and nothing anyone can disagree with too strongly. My only addition would be that this was an improved performance compared to the league match where we were totally dominated, didn't have a shot in the first half. Their 10 was outstanding then as he was today. They had chemistry, seemed fresher and more up for it after their exit last year. No shame in losing to them.
For them to attract over 2000 despite a 430 average is also excellent (mainly thanks to Worthing, Oxford Utd, Real Madrid, Ajax and Chelsea based on the shirts on display)
Meekeums was our biggest threat in the first half and has been a real star the last couple of months. Secka is a step 4 player thrown in and our best option on the day so we shouldn't expect a Harrison-like performance. Dabre hustled well when he came on but no one else really set the world on fire. But that's ok though. Anyone who is not proud of the team/squad/club is looking at the match in isolation and not the season as a whole. Well done the majority of fans for brining the numbers, the noise and supporting the boys. I hope the club act on the embarrassment that got escorted out.

As I've posted on various socials, extremely proud of the lads and the club as a whole today being represented in that way. The volume of support was fantastic and can't quite believe the journey we've been on the last few years, a far cry from Merstham away on a cold Tuesday night a few years back with 5 fans and a bin!
Also fantastic to see this forum thriving again.
Bring on Thursday and next season.

They were just too good for us today and missing H and Paxman made it a big ask.
I can't wait to see how they cope with a play off final and even Connie National crowds; I had serious fears for safety given the very small space allocated for 550 Rebels today and I know WFC reps had strong words (to no avail) before the game commenced.
Great to see so many old friends and I'm not at all upset at the result, it's been a very good league season.

Something didn’t quite connect for us and we were outplayed by a very strong side. Great day out though - despite having to pay £4 for warm cans of beer! Good to stand alongside Kenty too and have a chat. What a season. Immensely proud of what we have achieved.
As for the “fan” who got ejected. Well done to the Oxford City stewards for how they handled him. Hopefully further action will follow. I’m not excusing his very poor behaviour at all but unnecessary segregation does seem to make these situations worse rather than calm them down.
Ending our first season in the NLS with a play off position. I’ll take that.

It’s all about fine margins, you do wonder what difference a fit Jake Robinson could have made?
And had we not lost him 20 minutes into the season would we have lost out on a Home semi on GD?
And would Harrison in goal and a home tie with nearly 3,000 crammed into Woodside on Bank Holiday Sunday thrown up a different result?
We will never know 🤷♂️
But what we do know is we’ve had an excellent season competing in the second tier of the Non League pyramid, a far cry from playing in front of 300 people with Pat Wicks in the dugout, and for those who say we’ve punched above our weight, I disagree, we are there because we deserve to be.
The irony’s not lost that both the Albion and Worthing possibly have their most significant summers in their respective history’s.
Brighton look forward (hopefully) to the prospect of European Football with also almost certainly having to replace ( and quickly) two of the greatest players to ever pull on a Blue and White shirt, whilst Worthing will prepare for , with who has been relegated, an even more competitive NLS than this season.
The good news is, off the pitch both clubs are extremely well run, and in the dugout in RDZ and Adam respectively they have the best managers they’ve ever had.
It’s going to be challenging but it’s also going to be fun and having supported both clubs for over 50 years I’ve known very dark times at both, so let’s all enjoy the ride, both Rebels and Seagulls. 👍

Well beaten by a very good team. Losing a keeper who is fundamental to the way the team plays and replacing him with one from a team that doesn't play out from the back makes an already difficult task that much more difficult. The psychological effect was so evident.

A lot of positivity across the fanbase and the town after a great debut season in step 2.
Club need to capitalise on this feel good factor and get the 23/24 season tickets on sale ASAP with early bird discounts etc.

Same rumour as last year then. My understanding was he was on trial at Portsmouth as well last year. I really hope he stays but if he wants to move on it jd to be for the right reasons

Totally agree that this was better than the league match there when we were outplayed. I saw nothing yesterday to contradict my belief that, excepting Ebbsfleet, they were the best side we played this year. As you would expect, they looked far more experienced than us, which was the key difference. I think yesterday also showed how often we rely on Harrison to bail us out (think Braintree in the league match a few weeks back). Goalkeeper is, by definition, the last line of defence and the fact that we conceded 72 in the league and that many of us consider Harrison player of the season clearly shows where we need to improve.

Great to see so many old friends and I'm not at all upset at the result, it's been a very good league season. They are in a similar position to us with regards to their experience of segregation; according to the report posted earlier in this thread, it was only the second time (the other being for an FA Cup match with Tranmere). There is a debate going on on their forum about whether segregation causes a "them and us" situation and makes things worse, or whether it is needed for stopping physical altercations. There is also a report of the "trouble" from a home fan who was behind the goal, with interesting comments about the behaviour of some of their "supporters". What comments about this match (and our one against Eastbourne Borough on August bank holiday) show is that it can't be implemented "on the fly" or in a half-hearted way. I would like to think that clubs have access to some official guidance on how to do it safely. In the National League segregation is recommended (not mandatory) but that puts the blame on the home club if trouble breaks out and there isn't segregation. Weymouth told us that their approach was to start each match with segregation and to open up the ground later if there obviously wasn't going to be any trouble. I was sitting in the stand yesterday and one problem was that the stewards controlling the barriers in the stand stood in the No Standing area, meaning they were obscuring the goalmouth at the clubhouse end throughout the match. To end on a positive, in the clubhouse after the match I was approached by a couple of (slightly inebriated) Oxford City fans who wanted to shake my hand and compliment Worthing on the way we play. They said that we were the best they had seen at disrupting their normal game of playing out from the back.

Watching the final and Oxford are 3-0 up in the first 30 minutes 👏🏻
It makes it feel a tiny bit better that we, so far anyway, put up a better fist of things against them from finishing 4th than 6th placed St Albans are demonstrating.
Without doubt Oxford City deserve it.
