Chippenham on Saturday is last coach travel of the season. Is that official?, at the time of writing the ticketpass coach link on the club website still has several matches listed... Coaches - LinkI've heard from another source that there will be no more coaches this season, although no official communication yet.

Thanks for corroborating WW's initial expose 👍🏻
We can only speculate but rising costs must be behind that. A couple of months ago on the BBC one of the clubs at our level, I forget which, revealed just how much coach hire costs had risen.
Its a shame as it'll definitely impact the level of support at away games... and impact the freshness of our players at away games if they have to drive themselves there.
But financial prudence must come first. Speaking of which an email from the supporters club yesterday confirmed the decision to cancel the Chippenham coach in advance of the pitch inspection. WFC would've been charged a cancellation fee if they cancelled the coach today, so it was absolutely the right decision to do so.
The lift share thread becomes even more important now.

Your assistance please. I've just been doing the Tonbridge travel section for Saturday... and there never was a coach for the game anyway. But there still remains an obvious discrepancy over future games and coaches. I fully trust and accept the corroborated accounts from our regular posters are genuine that 'all coaches have been cancelled for the remainder of the season'. Notwithstanding I still can't fully square the circle until the coach ticket booking system stops showing them as being available to purchase. And indeed seven coach trips are still available to book ( Chippenham, Oxford, Slough, Ebbsfleet, Chelmsford, Cheshunt and Taunton)...see here... Coach booking - LinkAlso at yesterdays game Gary on the tannoy mentioned a ( seemingly official) "mini bus" for Dover on Tuesday. All clear as custard therefore... except there is feasibly still a way that both situations could be correct ( coaches having been cancelled and yet still available). Is it just possible that because booking availability for the whole season went up so very early in the season but inflation has been rising ever since... the club cancelled all future bookings and then relisted them at higher prices? Looking at the games individually they're now as much as £25 a ticket. Were they always that price? There's absolutely no criticism inferred if that has happened, no-one wants the club to be losing money on this or anything for that matter. Its just there's a very clear mixed message coming out on what the situation actually is. If I'm going to persist bothering to mention the coaches for these upcoming games I do need to know the definitive situation, presently its a polar opposite mixed message. Is anyone able to fully square the circle on this one please? Thanks in anticipation.

Official club coaches used by both players and supporters have been cancelled. A smaller minibus is now being used for some of the future away trips for supporters only which I assume can now be booked via the website, hence the announcement from Gary yesterday regarding Dover.

Perfect, it now make sense why they haven't been pulled from the website. With lower capacity they'll fill up quicker so by the time I do the preview I can double check to see if there's any space left. Thank you 👍🏻 Edit: As an aside can we infer from that economy of scale the players share a separate minibus? It'd be less than ideal preparation have them driving 😬

I think the vast majority of players have been driving themselves to away games throughout this season, there have been very few players on the coaches on a few occasions.

OK, interesting. Zero negative effect then given how great our away form has been 🤣

The coach is now a minibus, I’m trying to get a bigger vehicle for the supporters only Atm due to the short notice and through the WFCSA we have a minibus for a few games which I am driving. At the moment this can only be booked through the WFC booking From next season the WFCSA will take on the bookings through myself Anyone going to Dover will have booked at £15 per seat, this leaves at 16:00 hrs and not before I am trying to secure a minibus with 28/33 seats in the future but they don’t fall out of the sky, that’s the reason for only having 15spaces for the time being Hope that makes things a bit clearer Thanks Gary

The link was changed on the 'WFC Directory' thread for the new travel arrangements for away games yesterday.
But as of tonight ALL the minibus spaces being provided or the remaining games of this season have been added and are available to purchase.
I'd anticipate with reduced space now and a potential promotion run still very much on they will sell out quickly.
