Did I hear that right? Did Adam blame Luque for the 4th goal? I had to play it back too, the sound (and vision) was bad. But yes, I think he did, and all the 'intercepted cross field passes'.

Bit unfair I think. Yes he could have played the ball earlier. But to blame him entirely for the goal is a bit unfair. I

I think it was a bit damned if you do, damned if you don't things. Some of the players clapped the fans at he end, some of the fans had a pop back. If they hadn't clapped, it would have been a stick to beat them with. When they do, they got some back and one or two responded. Having said that, I'm pleased that they did as it shows they do give a toss and are as frustrated as we are.
I can't believe anyone is happy at conceding 4 goals, 3 times in a row away from home.
My opinion (and I know nothing in the grand scheme of things) is that
1. We did play well in the first half but heads dropped after the first goal and there was only one winner after that 2. We are a very quiet team with no vocal leaders out there, especially with Aarran missing 3. Hampton & Richmond wanted it far more than we did 4. They had defenders that like defending 5. Their GK made 2 unbelievable saves, ours will be disappointed with at least 2 of the goals he conceded 6. Our midfield (although technically amazing) lacked bite/tackling and didn't protect the back 4 very well 7. We 'bet the farm' too soon buy hurling on a load of attackers and lost our shape and discipline completely 8. Our squad is too big and we should probably let 2 or 3 go. I'm fairly sure Cashman and Rea weren't planned for so we must be overbudget. 9. The loans this season (Ricky aside) have added nothing. Example - Liam Vincent arrives rusty/unfit, we get him back on track. He leaves again. Repeat 10. We are a very good team. Adam is a very good manager. We will get through all these first world problems. Together.

And even the worst bit about tonight was one or two players having a go at the fans because opinions were voiced about performances. There was no booing at the end. Just fans giving their opinion. And considering what length people go through to be there I strongly feel that we can voice an opinion. If they came up and said sorry guys tonight was just not good enough than I could live with that. But having a go at the fans after a performance like that lol, not good! This is by far the most concerning news to come out of this game. Waking to crap weather the morning after a crap defeat, that makes things ten times crappier. Bad results, well they happen. Bad performances, well we're getting used to them happening more often. But what has underpinned our journey over the last few seasons has been unity, togetherness. The squad has been united amongst itself and the fans have been united with the squad... players and fans as one. Fans can voice their disapproval, they pays their money, they've earnt that right, especially on the road. It can come back the other way but only if the criticism is unjustified... but 4-0, 4-0, 4-1 isn't exactly a firm foundation upon which to mount any kind of justifiable self defence. Playing Devils Advocate you could also argue that at least it shows they care?... well yes, but if they cared that much they'd channel it into improving things, not causing division. If this is the beginning of cracks emerging in our relationship then they need filling in and shoring up immediately because once cracks become fractures the structure can quickly fall apart. I said it this summer but the loss of Buddy was seismic, on sheer force of personality he was the beating heart of all things positive in the squad, the glue that kept everyone on the same page. We've seen other longstanding cornerstones of the generally very settled squad move on too, Barks, Meeky etc., we've also observed with alarmed curiosity the 'Ollie situation'. And I also agree with the observation already made that some, not all by any stretch, of those coming in have certainly appeared at least to be more about 'me,me,me' than 'us,us,us'. Its entirely up to those who were there to name names, i'd fully understand if they didn't want to do that, but I suspect i'd be unsurprised by the names given. This is the first time this sort of friction has surfaced, and it needs to be the last. Quiet words from key figures need to be made to those individuals before a crack becomes a chasm. Because we will lose games again, we will play badly again, the key thing is to stay together when it happens. It is easy to be unit when things are going your way and you are winning. Now it becomes a test of character and how good the unit is. It doesn’t help not having Aarran there as I believe he carries a lot of cloud within the group. From my previous comment made you know I was there. Personally I feel there is nothing to gain from naming the players who had a bit of a go at us. Let’s leave it with them on how to respond now. I am really honest I did not clap the players in the end as I did not think it was worth the applause. Like previous mentioned there was no booing. But comments were made along the lines off : not good enough, absolute rubbish and improvements needed quickly. One the way out we passed Barry Hunter in the stands, who asked what was happening at the end. He was informed by another fan what happened and then Barry asked who the players were. So he knows but not sure what will happen with that info. Also when the players did come over I noticed they stayed a fair distance from the away fans. One player I think didn’t even cross the half way line. It would have been nice if they came over and at least said sorry guys today was just rubbish. Yes I think they would still be told the same. But at least it showed some balls to face up. The whole situation need sorting asap as not only we are sliding down the table. But this will have an adverse effect on attendances at home games. And if we need the support it is now. Fingers crossed Saturday is the first step in that direction.

Football fans tolerate mediocrity more if some of the players are home grown and hence represent the local community. We continue to give young players an opportunity but with one exception, not our own.
Less than two years ago, our treble winning U18 side narrowly lost an even game to Charlton Athletic in the FA Youth Cup. Five of that Charlton side have League 1 experience, Leaburn has a dozen League 1 goals, the keeper is an England international, Kanu scored four or five on loan at Southend on Saturday. There is no reason why our first team shouldn't have four or five from that side in it by now! We seem to be good at producing talent, but equally good at letting it drift away.

The problem is we still don't have a settled 11.

Has anyone else noticed we haven't won a league match since being tipped as champions by Danny Bloor?

Harty absolutely spot on . My concernsn is the manager does not know his best 11 .possibly trying to keep everyone happy imo picked the wrong team Saturday and last night This league requires a team to have vocal fighters as well as technicality gifted players in its side This squad has these ,plus proven goal scorers So frustrating that 11 cannot play week in week out and let the rest fight for the shirt 🤔🤔🤔

Finally saw my laddo this afternoon. His assessment of the game was too many Worthing players not putting in a proper shift and playing for the badge. Too many round plugs in square holes. The players should know what lengths and costs are involved in following them home and away. He duly left at the end of the match to get his train back to Lancing. Upon arrival at the station, NO BLOODY TRAINS!!!!!!! Someone had been hit by a train. He then walked to Surbiton, which took an hour, in order to get to Clapham Junction. Then change at East Croydon and down to Brighton whereby he had to catch a rail replacement bus to Lancing. Finally getting home at 01.45. I understand as well that the mini bus broke down on the way back as well? Will he throw his toys out of the pram? No, he will be at the next game, and the next.

We need a squad, we've got one and Hinsh will be working to remedy some of the vulnerabilities. No-one expects this squad to be the same come April so until then, let's support the boys to do their best job possible and that's not been as important as now for a while!

Best XI? Did you know, Sir Alex Ferguson once went 83 games before playing the same starting XI in consecutive games at Man U!

Oh for sure we always support the team and not expecting it to be the same as last season and we needed a bigger sqaud.
We have quality don't get me wrong but it down to the players not just the management to have the right attitude on the pitch.
However it is alarming we are shipping so many goals away from home and showing no way to get back into games. Tuesday night was unacceptable end of.
