Very safe questions there. The elephant in the room question would've been... "Wotts, after our keeper ran over to you with a suggestion of how to manage the team... you remember, when you kept telling him to **** off and he kept calling you a ****ing pr*ck, and the two of you then had an awkward angry stare-off... can we expect him to start against Dartford on Tuesday or not? 🤣

Laddo has just surfaced after yesterday's trek. He would like to thank Mr Keithsson for his suggestions. After alighting at Plymouth station, he went down to explore The Hoe. Said it was very nice. He had a hot Cornish Pasty from a bakers in the city centre which again said was very nice. Onwards to the match. His words, 'second half, played them off the park'. This is what makes away days so special. A couple of other Rebels were with him on the journey home. Train journey was a lot easier than expected. This day will stick in the memory bank for sure.

Great to hear SF09. I can still recall many of my adventures watching football round the country on the train as I forged my independence in my teens. They stay with you forever.
Should Truro and Worthing be in the same league next season, fingers crossed they'll be back home... now that would be a challenge for him 🤔
Yesterday called to mind Albion's exile in Gillingham seeing 'home' fans arriving in mini-buses.
From what I could unscientifically gather on accents/attire alone the crowd split was about 20% Worthing, 30% Truro and 50% locals. Janner (Plymouth) is a subtly different accent, a tad harsher.
Its no way to sustain a football club and I wish them well on their return home.

Back to the match. Now I've got a bit more time, some observations on the playing personnel coming out of yesterday.
Now its just one persons opinion and for all we know this could be a 'flash in the pan' performance... lord alone knows we've had a few of them already this season.
Hinsh touched on the main one in his interview... Cash on the left. Very effective out there, much more space to do the things we all knew he could do but has struggled to give us consistently to date.
Some of us said before that he and Ricky both centrally were a bit samey. Naturally I'd assumed he would stay central and hopefully benefit from Ricky's departure.
But Jack Wadham played more of the 'Ricky role' I felt... and he was very good too. Time will tell but I suspect he's a straight like for like signing.
A word too for Michael Klass while we're talking about the middle. There was no change in his role but take a bow. Coughing and spluttering up in the stands last Saturday and thought to be ruled out through illness, that must've been a massive effort to play that combatively on an energy sapping surface.
Anyway, back to Cash. Danny went left because Nicky Wheeler was on honeymoon and Luque was "away"... again. Cash might stay there next week at Tonbridge as I deduce from what Hinsh said that both are away for two weeks. On the evidence of yesterday he could make that spot his own in their absence.
Wheeler is utter class, he can fit in anywhere as demonstrated with his performance at right back at home. Where that would leave Luque though I'm not sure, he's been used only as a touchline hugging left winger. If Danny keeps this up that makes Luque 3rd choice in his speciality position 🤔
The other observation is I hope Ruben is given a few games to settle in. I've followed his development through the youth team and he's a great young player with a fantastic mature attitude. He was though probably the most rusty looking player yesterday, perhaps understandably given how infrequently he's started recently.
I'd give him a run for a while to shake that rustiness off. But also because him being there released Joe Felix to the right wing where he was absolutely brilliant.
I don't know if that was planned or thrown onto Hinsh late as Greg Luer who has been playing right lately clearly wasn't fit. He'd obviously travelled to play more than a last minute cameo to cover a knock after the two fit subs had been used up.
Necessity is the mother of invention they say. Well the dice as they fell for Hinsh yesterday with Wheeler/Luque absent and Luer a bit crocked were perfectly adapted to.
The Tonbridge starting line-up will be interesting but knocks and bumps notwithstanding everyone yesterday deserves to retain their shirts. Whether it be by luck or judgement, we might just have stumbled on a winning formula.

Not sure if it is me. But did I hear after the goal from Truro people saying that was simple? 4 good goals but the last one was what Worthing are alll about. Quick passing of the ball and scoring.

A long, long day but a worthwhile trip to witness a fantastic performance and a very much well deserved 3 points.
The first 45 minutes with only a few incidents of attacking action. Truro taking the lead with a fine cross from the right and a firm, well placed header giving Josh no chance. 1.1 just before half time. Joe with an excellent cross from our right that completely took the keeper out of the equation and Danny, drifting in from the left and holding back at the far post, nodded home from 4 yards.
The 2nd 45 was almost completely played in their half as we dominated possession, passed the ball at speed and exploited the better, less bobbly areas of the pitch out wide. Ollie with a fine finish into the bottom corner after an excellent first touch to control a goal bound effort from Jack. Our 3rd came as a result of rapidly pressing the Truro defenders which forced a wayward pass and left Danny with a simple tap in after Ollie unselfishly squared the ball into his path 6 yards out. Goal of the game, possibly the season so far, was our 4th. Wonderful, quick, accurate one touch passing move, ball laid out wide resulting in a whipped ball in which was expertly diverted home by Ollie. Danny close to adding a 5th only to be denied by a flying save. Truro rarely threatened, a wild shot over the bar in stoppage time was the closest they came. Hard to pick out a player of the match. The new lad in midfield, Jack, showed excellent composure on the ball, Josh came out confidently to claim a few high balls to help the defence when required. Kane was his usual all action self, Ollie was clinical, Danny looked a threat from out wide and the 3 young lads, Reuben, Finlay and Ollie contributed decent performances. Add in the physicality and good use of the ball from Michael, the constant pressing by Jake and the calm, composed defending by Joel and Joe and overall we saw a near perfect performance. We now need to carry this onwards for the remainder of the season. If we can then we have every chance of bettering last season's league position!! Can only echo what has been previously said regarding Truro needing to get back to their own ground in their own city. Surely crowds of 250 can't be sustainable playing in a 'home' ground over an hour away from your actual base. Worthing to Plymouth and back was a long enough day but when compared with some of the trips Truro must endure every other week playing their away fixtures at Dover, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Eastbourne etc I suppose it wasn't too bad!!

I see that Truro reassured Darts fans that tonights game was definitely on only for it to be called off at 6.40pm. Another club determined to piss off as many people as possible including their own who would have already set off from Truro itself

Another club determined to piss off as many people as possible including their own who would have already set off from Truro itself P*ss poor that. But it's a shocking surface, I'm not surprised, just delighted we got our game on. In the warm-up Josh took a dead ball kick in the box to John Keeley. The 'divot' that appeared when his standing foot took the whole top surface off and was the size of a dinner plate. The groundshare is going to cause big problems for both clubs. They've still got to play something like 28 games on it between them before late April. That's already two games a week without any more postponements... and there will be many more postponements.
