According to NSC, which has got info off rooks forum, but will not trespass onto enemy territory.
Apparently consortium looking to buy them want their own manager brought in.
Have to feel sorry for the guy

Isn't Keehan related to Dick Knight as I remember? Someone on NSC mentioned that

full-page spread in today's argus, most of which talks about King. It's official that he's gone by means of the players' shirt tributes, but still nothing official from the club. Sounds like the playing staff will be cast aside and they will start afresh.
If this was happening at worthing i'd be distrought. Should be a time for celebration and yet I bet the fans have never felt more alienated from their club.
I know you can't stand in the way of progress, but at what cost?

They're planning on basing next season's squad on young, Sussex based players. Sound familiar?
1. Proof indeed that Alan has the right idea about things and anyone who doesn't back him (and there does seem to be a few "within the club" who don't) does not have the best interests of the club at heart.
2. I hope that ALL or youngsters are tied down on contracts so no poaching goes on. Undoubtedly we have players who have the potential to play at a much higher level over the next few years. We want that to be with Worthing.

The youngsters are on contract aren't they? I think Alan's said this to us a few times.
This shows as well, sometimes you DO get what you wished for. The Lewes followers were banging on about King going for ages, instead of getting behind their manager. We need to do that and get behind our great manager.

lest anyone mention that we have joint managers, but you have implored us to get behind our great manager (singular)

After a brief set to with Lewes a few years ago, I can't help but have a small snigger at them, BUT, it's such a shame. The team played well, some players had conference experience. It looks like straight back down for them. I do wonder sometimes how they can afford the expansion they have achieved and now think that with a reduced playing budget, things are looking tight.
I always thought that Borough are more equipped to stay in the league so I hope they win their play off games. Borough have been built up over time, again have some quality players and a decent ground.
Lewes, as reported on Saturday, have come from Ryman Div 3 to conference in 10 years. Time will tell if the board have made the correct decision. Something tells me it isn't. For once I feel sorry to be a Lewes supporter.
I'm sure Mr king will get another job somewhere, to take a small county town to the brink of top league football doesn't go unnoticed.
Just keep your hands off our youngsters!

Update on the situation, Kevin Keehan has been confirmed as new manager, and the rumours that gareth barry is part of the consortium are also confirmed.

Could that mean Joe Keehan won't be with us next season?

Could that mean Joe Keehan won't be with us next season? Not sure that keehan is conference level, feeling on north stand chat (brighton forum) is that gary hart and kerry mayo will go there next season, and they both play at full back positions now due to age.

gary hart and kerry mayo will go there next season, and they both play at full back positions now due to age. Didn't we sign Keehan as a creative midfield player second time around? He played mainly at right back in his first stint, but I'm sure he played centre mid at YMCA and was brought back as that - it was only the shortage of a recognised left back that left him holding the poisoned chalice.

We do have a large number of right backs, but with central midfielders always likely to get suspensions during a season, keehan can fill in there, with enzo and roy as other right backs. next season we need to SIGN a left back, rather than bring one in on-loan.Rowlands was good as a slot-in for that position, but was always targeted by the opposition.

Could that mean Joe Keehan won't be with us next season? Well I aked him last night and he didn't seem to think he would be joining his dad I bet not many Villa fans can ask Gareth Barry if he'll be playing for Lewes next season ;D
