Thatβs terrible for Harlow, used to quite like their ground and set up. As someone who lived through our pitch trauma for the majority of its duration I can say we were never really in danger of folding, so long as we could secure a ground share at the appropriate grading. Bognor was out only option really so it then became a cost issue which hit us very hard and took at least a season to recover from. FIFA were incredibly supportive throughout which really helped us with our own FA (who were no support at all until the last knockings really) and the league. The final outcome was a new carpet (pitch) supplied at a significant discount, which with the installation was heavily supported financially by the FA.
The original installer of our pitch, who refused to acknowledge they were at fault, eventually stuck 2 fingers up and walked away with out penalty.

This afternoon Lancing FC entertained Faversham FC. Coming out of retirement and at the age of 40, Adebayo Akinfenwa started for Faversham. After 45 minutes he was replaced by Shola Ayoola.

β¬οΈ Made I laaf that π
As for Akinfenwa you have to take your hat off to him. Saw him in action for Torquay a few times, must've been 10-15 years ago.
If you'd told me then he'd go on to play as long as he did, gain the cult status he did, the social media profile he has and the successful clothing business he's got I'd have laughed like a drain.
The boy did well π

Isthmian south-east play-offs tonight - Chichester won 1-0 at Ramsgate, Mo Jammeh scoring the winner in the 87th minute! Shame about all that money Ramsgate have spent this season... Also, Three Bridges won at Sittingbourne.
Final is at Three Bridges on Friday evening, if you're brave enough!
