Kenty in Weardale and sylvia like this

The morning after the night before and with the benefit of some sleep and a clear head this morning... erm, no, I still can't explain WTF went on last night!
It was so weird the best thing I feel we can do is just to pretend it never happened. With Torquay and Maidstone also drawing, and Aveley still five points behind us despite winning, its a case of no harm no foul. We're no better or worse off than we started the night so let's just chalk it up to experience and go into this one where we were before the sublime gave way to the ridiculous... off the back of two very professional away wins.
Its Saturday, its sunny, the Gulls are in town and its a biggy...

If you're not in the habit of purchasing a ticket in advance it might not be a bad game to do so. This could be a sizeable crowd. There will be segregation for this one so do please ensure you get a home ticket.
The away fixture against Torquay was only game #2 of the season, but what a comprehensive demolition it proved to be....

NB - I've provided the Rebels coverage that comes with all the booing left in!!
Since those early days the Gulls have found their feet in the NLS and have been in and around the play-off scene all season. They reached a high of 2nd five games ago but have since slipped back to 7th with 45 points from 27 games. We remain 2nd (50/29).

Inevitably given their fall from 2nd place, over the last six games Gulls form has dropped below their league position, they find themselves in 13th place for current form with 8 points from the last 18 available. We remain in 4th place for overall form (13/18).
Home and away form shows us in 10th place for home form with 11 points from the last 18 available at Woodside Road, Gulls are 14th with 7/18 away from Plainmoor. Looking more closely at this period six of those seven points came at relegation fodder clubs Eastbourne and Havant, when they have travelled to an upper table side they've lost (H&RB and Chelmsford).

Looking at the numbers therefore there is some room for optimism. But as we know all too well It needs us to maintain a consistency of performance, something we've not always been able to sustain.
Squad wise, no-one looked to have fallen over last night and whilst all the 'Billy Bizarro' stuff was going on around us the core performance wasn't that bad, we shouldn't expect too much change. Joe Rye was sat up in the stands seemingly totally unfazed by his hamstring so we can hope that he was just preserved for Torquay last night. Also in line for a starting recall is Jake Robinson after he was rested.
Elsewhere and surely to goodness Nicky Wheelers seat on the bench will be upgraded to business class so the 'Cat from Catalonia' can curl up and have his sleep back in 'economy class' on Saturday rather than on the pitch. That said maybe neither of them will occupy the left side. If Robbo is coming back into the centre up front then Danny Cashman could reprise the left side role he so excellently performed in the two away wins.
Lots of scope for tinkering/improving the side but hopefully no wholesale changes.
All Saturday games...
Chippenham Town v Havant & Waterlooville
Dartford v Weymouth
Dover Athletic v Slough Town
Eastbourne Borough v Farnborough
Hampton & Richmond Borough v Chelmsford City
Hemel Hempstead Town v Welling United
St Albans City v Yeovil Town
Taunton Town v Aveley
Truro City v Braintree Town
Weston-super-Mare v Tonbridge Angels
Worthing v Torquay United
With Stones clearly otherwise engaged in FA Cup action (and as representatives of our league good luck to 'em BTW) only Chelmsford can overhaul us on Saturday. They are away at Hampton though, so if even there was a game we'd pray for a draw it'd be that one.
Its sure to be a great occasion, a decent crowd and interesting again to see how we match-up with another full time side. We've done very well against full time operations so far as Kenty outlined, let's hope this becomes the latest example.
Come on you Rebels!
