I don’t think a neutral venue is the solution - you’d have to decide it before season started and then get 3-4,000 in somewhere central like Reading , which holds 20 k plus.
No, as I’ve said elsewhere, with a bit of forethought it can be planned better. They should have been working on a home final scenario months ago, not trying to work it out on back of fag packet three days ago,

Better still not concede at all!
However Braintree will be a tough well organised team.
We sat back after going a goal up on Sunday and allowed Maidstone come on to us and equalise. Before that we pretty much dominated . If we score first we need to keep the momentum going and take our chances when presented.

It's not like the theatre where you add on another show. Why shouldn't anyone who wants one, get a ticket?

worthingfc.com/2024/05/club-statement-promotion-final-tickets/ Honest, transparent and we have to move on. I applaud the club in how they have dealt with this difficult situation and trust we learn from it. I'm sorry many will miss this, including some of my group, but the alternative is not being so successful or in demand. Know a local team with a nice pitch and guaranteed seats down the road, if you want to watch them battle it out for 11th in the Isthmian Premier every year, if you fancy it 😉 (Don't overreact it's just a laugh) This is the price we pay!

The club has issued a statement regarding ticket issues. Seems like they are sorry for RESTRICTING tickets to 4 per person....!

POTENTIAL POSITIVE ALERT!!!!!! When before would local pubs around Worthing be filled on a bank holiday, with punters there to watch Worthing on the TV?!?! What a buzz and what marketing for the club. What about BBC news doing a segment on he fans in the pub for reaction. I'm already buzzing about this whole experience! O'Connors on Warwick street and the Broadwater both supposedly showing the final. Be good to share who else for fans who want to watch it with other fans!

Pete Stone put money behind the bar at O’conners. Think beers for the first 100 people in club colours. Only half read it. Sorry

And would the atmosphere and occasion be the same at a neutral venue?

Bit OTT in my opinion. Yeah quite a few 'regulars' (me included) didn't get tickets. But you know life goes on, we will support regardless and wherever from come Monday. To stick knives into the club who have openly held their hands up to an error in how they issued the tickets, seems harsh. It's only a game after all.

Sorry to hear. Never nice for people to be upset but perspective is needed. The club didn't have a 'priority' list set up before this so what are they supposed to do. Who actually expected 6000 people online waiting before 8pm? Noone has a greater right to see the club than anyone else. If there was one ticket left, should it go to a player's family who missed out? a regular who's seen every game? A sponsor who missed out? A vlogger who could boost interest for next year? An international business who want to invest but the site crashed on them, a 10 year old who is still crying because he wanted Pearce's shirt? It can't be about individual stories. The existing groups include players/staff and ST holders. The club did that. What more do you expect them to do while they are working harder than ever to prepare for their biggest event ever?
