Heard a rumour after the game on Tuesday and he has just confirmed on his Facebook account.
Richard Hudson has become another Rebel to Join Buggers Hill.
It's a shame he has gone as I fear we never saw the best from him.
I wish him all the best up there (but not when they play us)
One thing is a possitive. Frees up some well needed cash for possibly a couple of players.
Buggers now have Johnson, Hudson, Gregory and I am lead to believe Skinner too, I though they didn't have any money?

Very sad news but not unexpected. The rumour has been doing the round for a week or more now. I hope this loss doesn't come back to bite us in the arse. As stated, we never saw the best of Richard thanks to his injury. How ironic he's become a teammate of the clogger who could have finished his career? Despite his horrific injury, Richard could always be seen at all games, home and away. The sign of a good club man.
As I believe Richard was under contract, (I think?), I assume Burgess Hill would have to take up the remainder? Also, if he's under contract, are we not entitled to a fee or am I pissing in the wind hopefully on that one?

Is on official site also.
Defonetly a shame, looked great attacking threat, and is a loss we could have done without......whereas Leyziller is one who we could do without, even if the rumours that he's on bugger all are true.

I feel really disappointed by this and annoyed that Richard has left us just when he's back from injury.
Let's make no mistake, Richard HAD to be at games as Pook (rightly) made him go. As soon as he got better he left to Burgess Hill. Are there any reasons for it? Was he pushed? Did he walk? He took his wages whilst we rehabilitated him and he really should, if he wasn't pushed, have stayed and paid WFC and the fans who were only ever good to him back for the loyalty shown to him.
As he WAS under contract, I hope there was a transfer fee involved, as we've paid thousands in wages for a player who has never played for us really. A massive shame as Richard was a nice bloke, it'd have been nice to see him here, at least for the season though, to show us what he's capable of and to thank the fans for the commitment we've shown to him.
It's a real shame that it's ended that way as I really wanted to see Richard at his best in a Worthing shirt. I'd like to know if it was us that let him go or him who went.

As he WAS under contract, I hope there was a transfer fee involved Probably not as the official site suggests that his contract was terminated by mutual agreement. Burglar's Hill are already out of the Trophy and at least he's cup-tied for the Senior Cup I expect him to score a hat trick on December 30th though

No surprise at all following aforementioned rumours, and with him not being in the team/on the bench for the last couple of games. Nice bloke he may be, but I can't bring myself to wish him luck as I am pretty pee'd off with the comment in CC's post, "as we've paid thousands in wages for a player who has never played for us".
Thanks a bunch (of wasted cash), "Rock" Hudson!

I feel really disappointed by this and annoyed that Richard has left us just when he's back from injury. Ditto, annoying and a shame that he spent more time at Worthing injured than he did fit. When he did return he looked promising, to add insult to injury, and although we did pay his wages for not playing football while he was injured, I'm sure he wanted to get involved and back on the pitch. There is something wrong about him taking the clubs money and then disappearing when he's able to play again, but in this case, as in many, it's not as simple as that...

From the Argus
Burgess Hill and Worthing have done a swap deal involving wingers Richard Greenfield and Richard Hudson.
Hillians’ Greenfield is on his way to Woodside Road while Hudson is moving in the opposite direction to Leylands Park.
Winger Greenfield has been a regular in the Hillians side this season, scoring three goals, while Hudson has returned to the Rebels’ ranks following a long-term ankle injury.
Hillians player-boss Jamie Howell said: “They want Greenfield and, to be truthful, I don’t want to lose him but I want Hudson as he can offer us goals. That’s why we are doing the swap.
“Richard has been sensational for us so we will miss him. Richard Hudson has had his injuries but once he gets his fitness back he will be a very good acquisition for us.”

Was quite annoyed but in view of the swap deal it could be good business. If rumours are true that he was on a few quid, we may have saved a bit on wages, and replaced him with a player who is more likely to stay fit. Whatever his quality (and I'm sure he will prove to be one of the best players for Buggers Hole when he plays), if he's not fit he's no good to anyone.
Its a big shame that we got so stitched up with paying wages whilst injured, but that happens in football and I can see why we put a bright talent on such a contract.
I don't know anyhting about this new chap, but if he fills a gap that needs filling, and we will get more games out of him at less money, and if we had been after him anyway (which suggests he can't be a bad player) then this could prove to be great business.

Pretty annoyed here I'm afraid. I like Richard as a person but UNLESS he was pushed, it's a pretty shabby state of affairs and means that he surely has earned a place in the WFC hall of shame for "most expensive player ever based on pounds earned/minutes played". And to sign for the side containing the bloke that crippled him in the first place as well.
And it also proves what a Mickey Mouse set-up Burgess Hill are. From handing round the begging bowl, not paying their rent, not mantaining their ground and breaking floodlight rules to signing big money players all in the space of 6 months.
It's like seeing a dole sponging non-working council tenant coming back from Comet wheeling a brand new 52" plasma screen TV into the house that is subsidised by the taxpayer.

And to sign for the side containing the bloke that crippled him in the first place as well. But does it perhaps open a door for us to now take legal action to recover those wages from Danny Gaisford and/or BHTFC. You needed proof Are they really Lewes in disguise ;D (Added later)According to one of our joint managers, the lad joining us is a young and very quick wide player (but I think he said something similar about JL too ) We'll just have to wait and see - I assume he's cup-tied for tomorrow

Of course, not the first time that Richard Hudson has left Worthing FC. He signed a contract when Sammy Donnelly was manager and then signed for Lewes FC without telling our Club. Sammy took the view that if Richard (and his Mum who seemed to be behind the move) wanted to be at Lewes, there was no point in any action except tear his contract up. There was a lot of interesting debate at the time on the previous Message Board.

Saw the new chap at training last night.
Looked very sharp and not to flashy (like JL) should be a good signing. We have another Fit player instead of a half fit expensive player.
Look forward to him making his first appearance
