Just a quick reminder that the youth are at home tonight in the FA Youth Cup v Dorking. Kick-off 7.45. The match will be played to a conclusion with extra time and penalties if required. The tea hut will be open as usual for youth matches. Come along if you can to support the lads. Admission is 2/1. There isn't much other football coming up at A2B Stadium - the front side only have 2 games scheduled till end of October - so why not make this your footie fix

To add to that if Richard or Lloyd read this any chance of a tannoy announcer tonight too.
You may have seen on the website that we have lost our first choice (and first XIs 2nd choice) goalkeeper for the coming weeks. The guys would love to see a big crowd tonight to cheer them on and lift there heads..
There is nothing on the TV on a Monday so for £2 its nothing to come down and watch some quality football.
To add to the home fixtures comment. If we get a result either way on Sunday and Whitehawk only manage a draw then the match next Tuesday will be off. That would leave only one home game after tonight until November.
Remember our last Youth FA Cup Fixture away at Walton & Hersham was over 150 we would love to beat that tonight.

The young Rebels win 6-1 to set up a home tie in the next round against the winners of Whitehawk and Leatherhead who play on Wednesday. The next round will be played in 2 weeks time, Monday 4th October so make a note in your diary.
Tonight's attendance was 126 so a pretty good turnout too. Lets see if we can better that in 2 weeks

That is an AMAZING attendance, and well done to the boys on another fine win.
Not too far away from our normal gates, proving that affordability is a big issue at the moment. Of course, the youth team aren't being paid which strips out a big layer of cost but then if current rumours are to be believed nor are the first team at the moment.....

That is the official paying attendance. There were a further 40+ that did not pay (oppositions parents that managed to get in early with players etc.) Broken into 80 Adults and 46 Children/concessions that paid. Shame, as its the FA Cup, that we have to split the gate receipts. Nice little earner for Dorking though. On the Match, for those of you who came and watched, can I say a big thank you from myself and the players and the rest of the coaching / management staff. To have a gate like that for a Youth Match, blew us away on the touchline last night as we looked around. We played some great football (at Times) and for those of you who watched it was probably a weaker performance than we have been putting in recently, but that's not to take anything away from the players on the night. There were probably a lot of people that came into the ground about 10 minutes after Kick-Off who were very surprised to hear that they had missed 3 goals already!!!!!!! Earlier in the Night It was announced to the team that Shaun Charles would be their captain for the season. It was a long wait for the decision, but a good one all round. Vice captain will be James Fernandes (who is also Captain for Worthing College Academy First XI and WFC's Second choice Keeper), but in his absence (fractured ankle) Jack Boxall will be the vice captain until James returns to match fitness. To the match The lads were ready for this after already progressing further than they did last year and are focused on getting themselves to the first round proper and the chance of a big name. Full Match Report Online now rebels.worthingfc.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1313&Itemid=39Our next two matches are away to Burgess Hill on Monday (27th). The following Monday (4th Oct) is the next round of the FA Youth Cup. We will be at home again, against the winners of Leatherhead and Whitehawk who play this Wednesday Night. It would be great to see all of the fans return to watch and bring someone with you. It may be one of your only chances to watch a game at the ground for a while as there is only one first team HOME match scheduled for October.

It may be one of your only chances to watch a game at the ground for a while as there is only one first team HOME match scheduled for October. That's not technically correct as we are required to play the league cup match against BH during w/c 11th October. And surely we are trying to rearrange the Chipstead game too

Nice to see the Rebels won. If you want me at any youth games I'd be happy to but tell me at the first team game in advance. I'm focusing more on college at the moment because I am doing Business BTEC, English and ICT. I am looking to work at the club for a week for my work experience.
