Scored last night aginst Croydon to go into double figures in the league, and 13 goals overall in about 18 appearances for the Hillians. He must be a bad player who couldn't score ina brothel.. or perhaps Worthing just don't play very good football anymore? I've been a Worthing semi-supporter for the last few years (due to living in worthing) and things have got pretty bad with the whole bloor/pook rubbish.
In fact the Hillians play some nice football...

To be fair, Worthing do have a bit of a history of ruining in-form strikers - remember Richard Pacquette (scored against Liverpool for Havant & Waterlooville this season), Byron Harrison (scored a hat-trick against Worthing after the club released him), and there may be more...
Shaz is a decent player - you watch him score for Burgess Hill (although I realise that I've just put the "mockers" on him).

In his defence it is true that we were playing horrible football whilst he was up here - seemed like the sort of striker that needed the ball played in front of him on the ground rather than fighting for scraps from the occassional hoof.
He did look very lightweight and low on confidence which didnt help. Maybe if he'd just nicked a goal off his backside to get off the mark, he would have grown in stature.

However, if he were in the team now that we have found some form (touch wood), would he get a place in the starting XI? Who would want to tell Jamie Brotherton or Ben Andrews that they have to start on the bench considering they are playing so well together now?

I suppose. Shaz does now have two in his last two for Burgess Hill though. Strange! :S ha ha Good result away today by the way. Went to the hillians instead this afternoon.

Well done to Shaz, good luck to the man, nice bloke and his Dad is a gent of the non league game, but he's gone and moved on. WFC have done the same, so with all respect, I don't really care how Shaz does anymore. I hope he does well, like most ex Rebels, but I don't particularly care for updates each time he touches the ball!
