we could have won 3-0, but hit post and bar in our 1st two shots, then Andrews headed o for Brothers to head past the keeper ( i think it was andrews set up at least)
Have to say well done to their keeper, as he is the best sport we've had this season. Also well done to all us fans who made ourselves heard loud and clear for the return of Kev, and the departure of Bloor.

From up in the stand we could hear 'sack the bloor' quite loud and clear.
All in all a game we should have put to bed well within 30 minutes and eventually had to rely on a bit of poor finishing from Casuals to earn the win. We thoroughly deserved it and if we carry on in this fashion I see no reason why one of theplay off spots should not be ours.
If we get promoted it will be a miracle considering the last few months, but it will be what the club needs.
On a side note, I have not heard racism at Woodside for years but a chap standing under the stand was heard to call one of the Casuals players a Monkey. A little bit naughty in this day and age.

That's not a little bit naughty. That is totally unacceptable and disgusting in THIS day and age! THAT person should be banned, whoever he may be! Did you report the person involved to any club official? PLEASE report this person if you haven't already done so.

I have to say, personally although I heard it I was sitting in the stand with my nipper so couldnt see down, but a friend later told me that what I'd heard was a supporter standing by the railing. If it was a player it would have severely kicked off as it was whilst the mini-ruck was taking place.
Dont get me wrong, I don't advocate racism in any way, but I hear much worse said in jest out and about on a weekly basis still. Let's face it, if someone's tall they get called lanky; people do extract the michael based on your appearance whatever that may be. A word in the ear is perfectly acceptable, so long as he's not throwing bananas on the pitch or bringing his white robe to games.
About 10 years ago, as a nipper, I often used to go and watch worthing training. We had one single black player (name escapes me entirely, but a tricky winger with no end product as I recall) and how he kept his cool most weeks I'll never know. The players racism was like nothing I'd ever heard before or since. We are not even a generation past those days yet, but its a lot better.
Anyway sorry to have meandered this thread off topic. After seeing the last three games Im now seriously considering Chipstead on Saturday which will only be my second away game. Good football keeps fans hooked and brings more through the door, so long may it continue.

For any smokers, apparently, although people done it last time, it is a non-smoking ground.

Why do you have to take something so little so far? If you'd have been reading this board you'd know that people have ben banned for minor things, whereas racism is something that should not be seen in sport in THIS day and age, so i totally agree with Castra on this one

Thanks - a chap at work mentioned that Chipstead as a village/town is quite picturesque, so where better to get my weekly fix of football and breath in fresh, smoke free air at the same time

Would you like to expand on what is so "little" about the "alleged" incident? I'm intrigued on what you think is the correct thing to do?

Why do you have to take something so little so far? I think we know who said it then, don't we? In the words of DCI Gene Hunt, the first one to talk, did it. Castra is right, this sort of thing is totally unacceptable and actually quite desparate, considering you couldn't think of anything constructive to say. I look forward to the defence argument somehow trying to legitimise such racial abuse.
