I've only been to Kingsmeadow once, years ago by car (for K's vs Woking, funnily enough).
Does anyone have any travel tips? Meeting up with my German mate for a few beers, and wanting some decent (real ale) pubs to go to, so Kingston town centre may be a possibility - is it a taxi ride from there to the ground?

Unable to offer any advice on pubs in the area, the times I have been in the past it has been straight to the bar at the ground. The closest station is Norbiton, which is one stop from Kingston (from the Wimbledon direction) or one stop past Kingston from the Twickenham direction. The walk is not far ( map), from memory about 10-15 minutes tops (depending on speed). Looking at the maps ( Map One - Map Two) I would say getting from the centre of Kingston to the ground can be done with a sensible walk, a cab ride or by bus. Kingstonian link AFC Wombles link

I don't use the bars outside the ground so can't help you I'm afraid, however I will say this, don't go in the pub near the ground on the way from Norbiton Station. It's call The Robert Peel and women keep taking their clothes off. Oh! and don't take pound coins with you for their collections. ;-)

If you do go into the town centre, you can get the 131 bus, it stops right outside the stadium. Next to the stadium there is a chippy and a cafe (Fat Boys).
Fat Boys Belly Buster.

Norbiton is your best bet for proximity to the ground.
I did go to the Robert Peel with the FCUM fans earlier in the season and very, very amusing. A bunch of 40+ Russians scrabbling for your pound! Very amusing!
You could always watch us play K's early at Imber Court. It'd be a laugh at any rate! Will be around very early too, due to playing in aforementioned game.

Looks good. Is this walking distance from the ground?

I think it must of been about 30 mins walk but we got a cab for a couple of quid each.
