I thought it was this guy who once got sacked from bradford for something drugs-related. Probably my mind playing tricks though.
A really good piece by the beeb, and good to see footballers giving something back unlike a lot of these high earning big time charlies in the top leagues who abuse their positions.

Well done Jamie, credit where credit's due, London, and especially the suburbs like tooting need stuff like that as a positive distraction. Would be good if clubs took these lads on as well and encouraged them, with lads like jamie encouraging.
A good move I'd say.

Good work Mr Lawrence, but I noticed a couple of weeks ago he's still trying to pass his handbag off as a "manbag". Might look trendily metrosexual in Tooting, but not on the North bank of Woodside Road Like so many other former Rebels though, no mention of us in the article anywhere - something I've noticed with a lot of the journeyman that passed this way. Wouldn't hurt the profile of the club for respected former players to drop the name every now and then, unless it's Claridge!

When Dom Douglas won The Sun's male model competition ( ), there was no mention of Worthing FC, just a "local football team". They mentioned Eastbourne, but not us! (Vatican Rebel can back me up on this one). Let's all agree if any of us hit the big time, we won't hesitate to mention Worthing FC! And don't even get started on Claridge...

I read the article many times...without wanting to look at the pic, and there was no mention of worthing, only eastbourne, although he mentioned "the lads gve me stick about it" which would have to mean us, as i doubt he's played much for eastbourne (can anyone clarify this). I guess a team pushing for promotion to conference is better looking than team doing same in ryman 1.
