Sadly Maniac passed away earlier this month. For anyone who knew him as Peter who used to travel from Slough on his motorbike they will know how dedicated he was to supporting Worthing Football Club. He retired to Worthing which made it easier for him but for the past year or so he was too ill to attend any matches. I hope some of you will remember him at the first home game of the new season. Thank you.

I agree RIP Peter. My sincere condolences to Peter's family. I too hope Worthing FC can remember Peter, come the first game of the season - a true loyal supporter and a great bloke.

That's really sad news. Peter was a long and loyal supporter and we will all miss him.
I think that a minute's applause would be a great gesture if the family are in agreement. Maybe John could formalise this as the tannoy announcer and referee will presumably need to be briefed beforehand?

Very sad news indeed. Condolences to his family and friends.
Perhaps someone could post details of Peter's funeral arrangements to allow any of us who knew him to show our last respects.

My thoughts are with Peter's family and friends. I agree that a minute of applause in appreciation and remembrance would be a good thing; as long, as Ian says, his family are in agreement with this happening.
RIP.

KC and I have been texting and we will sort the tribute to Peter (Ware), unfortuantely I have also found out that his funeral was actually on Monday this week so the minutes applause will have to be our respects, I will try and find out if his family were doing any form of collection for charity and perhaps we could do a collection or something.

I was told that some supporters at the club had been informed about Peter. Obviously this wasn't the case and I am sorry. I didn't think to post a message on here until yesterday.
Donations may be given in Peter's memory to St. Barnabas House c/o Ian Hart Funeral Service. A minute's applause before the first game of the season is a lovely gesture. Peter would have liked that. He has asked for his ashes to be scattered at Worthing Football Club and this is something that I will arrange at a later date.
Thank you all for your kind words.
