Paxman has left Ebbsfleet! Taking up a new challenge. Could it be us? I will take him back in a heartbeat. As would I. However it should be observed that since he limped off against Braintree we've signed Klass and re-signed Jessie in that 'creative central' role. Kane is in there too. We're clearly signing quality and experience this summer. Doing that usually means 'quantity' gets reduced. Four creative central midfielders? A lovely selection dilemma to have, but one a budget of our level rarely allows for sadly. |

Mutual agreement to terminate contract. And Eastbourne going full time. |

Never expected Paxman back . He lives in Colchester I believe. Must be on a decent contract ( petrol back and forth 3 times a week + match days ) but good luck to the fella 😷😷😷

Played 25 games last year, 18 as a sub on/off with 4 goals in a mid-table team. I too haven't seen him so it's just a data view from me (how very 'New Eastbourne'!)
However, Hinsh will have a plan and I hope he is able to get more out of him than than Eastbourne could.
Can't wait to see some pre season action from the new lads trying to impress!

Judging by the clubs tweet of could be a busy day today, I would expect a further announcement in the next few hours, hopefully a keeper?
The Luer signing would point to the fact the Ibby probably isn't staying then? I can't see us having Jake, Olly, Greg and Ibby in the squad.

It's there just because it gives a clue as to his movement and positioning, nothing more. The proof is in the pudding and we'll see soon enough how he looks in pre-season. If Topbloke's fears are confirmed (" a spent force") then a two year contract might seem a bit of a heavy anchor. But sometimes players get stuck in a rut and a new challenge in a fresh team might just be the lift he needs to bring back that undoubted early potential. If so that's a shame because, certainly since Cal left, Ibby brought the squad some muscle, some nuisance value. Even if only from the bench his presence unsettled defences and created chances. Does this signing also suggest Davide won't be back either? |
