Didn't Hinsh name check Cashman on a recent Rebel Yell podcast, saying something like hopefully he enjoyed his brief time here, maybe he'd come back based on that experience?

Honest answer I can’t remember Adam saying that and I was sitting right next on him. 😂 What I do know is that they always stayed in touch. Clearly has paid off now. |

Danny Cashman has signed!! Released by Coventry on deadline day and looks like he has decided to come to us! Had that spell as a trialist back 2 summers ago if anyone remembers? Feel if he does well he will get snapped up quickly given he has 30 league appearances but what an excellent addition! The strength in depth is getting a little scary now He was absolutely superb that preseason (albeit preseason), a class above at the time. Should fit in nicely! |

Woke up this morning and had to pinch myself I hadn't dreamt this signing. I tried to find some footage of those games to demonstrate to anyone who didn't see him or didn't remember him just what quality he brings. It defeated me, then I remembered it was around that time our highlights output became very patchy. Instead I found this highlights reel of his time at Rochdale... Danny Cashman - YouTubeIt might take a while for his new teammates to tune into his wavelength but I really do feel this guy could be the final piece of the jigsaw. His tenacity and retention in the middle third, the way he makes space with or without the ball and then his distribution into the final third is excellent. This was in League two so there's every reason to believe that two leagues lower those spaces and that distribution will be even better. Kane, Klass, Jessie etc are very good in the middle but he brings something else, he's more on the front foot, more attacking. He'll need movement though from the forwards but once settled in I feel players like Ollie and Robbo could have an absolute field day. What I particularly like about this signing is firstly the networking Hinsh and the club have, we make good impressions on players and we stay connected after they leave, it comes back to reward us. And secondly we have sufficient flexibility to be able to accomodate an unplanned gem when it becomes available unexpectedly. |

I guess today's match would have been the last of Liam Vincent's 1 month loan?
Shame he picked up the warm up injury at the weekend ad if that was to be his last game then all the best, certainly grew into a better player for us as time went on!

Interesting comments from Adam in the Argus today about how he is holding extra training days for Ricky so that he can continue his full-time training regime while here on loan. Also that he will probably get Danny Cashman involved in these as well.
Maybe a dummy run for the club going full-time?

He seemed in considerable discomfort after the tackle last evening, and was wincing when he limped off at half-time.
