Might be wrong but I think this is year 2 of Ollie's contract which is strange because if he was playing and scoring we'd command a higher fee. Win win for the club. Seems a strange one to me to not give him a chance If those dates are correct then its strange also that having clearly demonstrated he was more than up to NLS standard, you can't get better than being the leagues top scorer, his contract wasn't extended this summer. I don't like everything he does, his 'tactical falling' and whinging for example but the guy scores lots of goals, and has done throughout his time here. Why he gets marginalised while mediocrity gets regularly picked is just odd. I agree with everything you said. Personally I think Leur has been the most disappointing signing this summer. I really don’t see what the fuss is about. And when I raised this to some people the answer I got but his movement of the ball is really good. I am sorry a player in his position should score goals! Something that is sincerely lacking! I know Pearce is not happy and if the club/Adam are not sorting this one I have a feeling he will leave the club. He wants to play. And I think he should play. He showed us last year he is capable at this level.

Wasn't it mentioned a while back in some quarters that it was to due Ollies conduct on the pitch and his possible direct disagreenent with Adam for being subbed early in games?
Who knows??

He showed us last year he is capable at this level. I remember having this self same debate when Cal first arrived with people complaining he wasn't scoring. The difference between that situation and this one is that you could see what Cal was bringing to the team... the dragging defenders out, the muscling out of defenders to retain first phase possession and recycle to the 2nd phase etc. You're so right, I've not seen more than a couple of good touches a game from the guy keeping the leagues top scorer out of the side. He doesn't drag defenders out, he doesn't outmuscle them, yes he can retain the ball but it invariably goes backwards and no second phase of attack arises. On the rare occasion he gets into a shooting position, he can barely hit the target, let alone score. To start with my questioning what he was bringing was tempered by it being early days, give the lad a chance. But its October tomorrow. If Ollie wasn't at the club or was injured the deficiencies would still be there but I'd still be rooting for Greg to come good. But having Ollie sat there just makes the situation exasperating. I'm not going to pick a side, Hinsh and Ollie are both legends in my mind. But whatever the problem is, sit down and sort it out like grown adults. The longer it goes on this brooding unspoken impasse is bordering on juvenile and ultimately the only loser is the team 👎🏻

Think we will never find out what exactly happens between player a manger. I think it is just a waste Ollie sitting into the bench. His conduct on the pitch has been the same for last few years so no change there really.

The alternative is a passionless drone who isn't fussed one way or the other if he plays or not. Lock 'em in a room together George, don't let them out until they've made up.

I fear Pearce days in a Worthing shirt are over unless something does change but we could be reading to much into it but it doesn't make sense leaving your 30 + goal striker on the bench !

Really doubt we are reading too much into it. If he doesn’t start will leave. The only thing that might prevent it is his contract. But I rather see him on the pitch

I could understand seeing Ollie on the bench if other strikers were firing in league goals for fun, but they aren't...
All I will say is he has had spells on the bench before, and a famous strop at Burgess Hill a few years back lives long in the memory of him saying he would leave... yet he is still here!

Reuben Livesey-Austin going on loan to Bognor. Fitted in well. Kinda hoping you have better infront of him for the season and we can use him a little more.

Callum Kealy has joined Eastbourne for an undisclosed fee. Didn’t last long at Havant.
