I echo the previous comments that it is disappointing to see that Same Rents is going, but that does explain his recent omissions from the team. A good footballer, an experienced head and suddenly this season the scorer of a number of fabulous goals direct from free-kicks. Can't help but feel these moves leave us weaker overall. Time will tell but does this indicate a tightening of the belt perhaps as the club perceives that any genuine promotion chance has now receded ? It is all well and good saying it gives more of the young or academy players a chance but this is a hard and competitive league in which to be fielding too many inexperienced or lightweight players, if you want to be successful.

I find the Zac situation strange. As a player, what do you want to do. Sit on the bench getting splinters in your arse at Welling, or get regular game time at Worthing?  I know the travelling is an issue, but I know what I'd prefer doing if I was a footballer. |

Good spot. Makes sense now why the 'three signings' link suddenly didn't work yesterday and only Zak and Billy had new signing tweets. Not keen on their manager's words 'illegal approach', I hope that's been flowered up on his part and it's more of a discourtesy for what sounds like an uncontacted youth player (he mentions a seven days notice?). The question now is does Kwame arrive too in seven days once this 'notice' is served, or is Eoin Kirwin a direct replacement for him. |
