Am I the only one who get’s constantly irritated at having to find out things like this, player moves, as well as fixture information, from other clubs? I wouldn't say so, I find it a little bizzare! Also with Mo Dabres injury and also Josh returning to the Gills soon this leaves us desperately short in Midfield!! An area where at times this season we have been really lacking and our worst performances have often come from a lack of Midfield presence and creativity! Not saying Sammi was creative but it's another void created. I agree with what you are saying but whenever he was playing I was always thinking he would pick up a yellow or worse. Unless there is something happening with players coming in it seems a bit odd to let another midfielder go. Will wait see what happens.

Sammie has joined Bognor. What can Us Rocks fans expect from Sammie? We’ve been crying out for CM all season.

True that, far too often a red card walking. There were glimpses of something useful but not nearly often enough.
Maybe it signals Danny Barker is over the worst of his injury. Also in the podcast Hinsh stated Alex Parsons had signalled his availability over the festive period and (unless I imagined it) didn't he hint at the possibility of Jessie coming back in the New Year?
Even without any of those 'ifs, buts and maybes' if the standard isn't being met we're better off moving him on than persisting with something that hasn't worked out.
So with Nods moved out and Sammie now gone is that the last of the summer 'trialists'? Lewis and Kane were long time targets, Dan Bowry maybe?

He has experience on this level. But not seen enough of him to make my mind up about him. Always been a great admirer of Alex Parsons. It is good to see him back but he will need a few more matches to get match fit. And with regards to Jessie i can’t remember what was said but would be great to have him back.

Our summer recruitment hasn't exactly been very successful, more a case of quantity over quality.
Adam Adam and Nods loaned out, Sammie moved on, Ibby and Splatt haven't set the would alight and Mo Shubbar, although looking more productive recently, has struggled to make a lasting impact.
Dan Bowry has looked pretty decent when he has played but he is now not even making the bench.
Lewis has had some good moments but always seems to pick up injuries and unfortunately Jake, who was looking very sharp, is a long term absentee.
Kane has been superb and the 2 loan lads, Mo and Josh, made a massive, albeit a possibly short term, difference unless some loan extensions are being looked into.
Big plusses this season so far are the 3 lads named above plus Joe Rye, who has been consistently excellent, the form of Luca on his return from Horsham and young Reuben who has performed very ,very well since being introduced to the starting XI.
Saying all that, we are nearly halfway through our first season at step 2 and we are competing well, don't look out of place and our league position is very healthy at the moment so plenty to be positive about in my opinion.

It's nice to know what's going on, but I think regardless of personal opinions about individuals signings, the club has done well. We are sitting well in NLS, have strengthened other sussex teams with developing young players and continue to nurture our youth. Even if we tail off slightly, just look at how Reece, Luca, Joe and Reuben have thrived. Throw in a fit Cam Tutt and soon to be confident Ollie Pearce and its a healthy place to be. Even if some signings do not make it (White is excellent and I've been impressed with Ibby), the hungry culture in the club is something to admire!

Even if some signings do not make it (White is excellent and I've been impressed with Ibby), the hungry culture in the club is something to admire! Agree with this. It’s all about getting a blend of youth and experience. Last year’s U18 squad were outstanding, but it would have been foolhardy to promote loads of them into the 1st team squad (at a higher step than last season). My opinion, FWIW, is that Hinsh knew he probably needed to get some players in with experience of this level, even though he also knew he had some young lads who he could turn to if necessary. Kane and Lewis have been good signings, no real argument there. Sammie, Nods, Moe, Adam - these haven’t really ever proved, consistently, that they’re up to it. Ibby is good enough, in my humble view, while Splatt just isn’t. So a few hits and slightly more misses from last summer’s recruitment - but three very positive additions from within, namely Joe, Reuben and the re-integrated Luca. Get ourselves established in this division, keep bringing young lads through, it looks pretty good so far. That some of the summer signings may not have quite worked out as we might have hoped is counter-balanced by the success of the youth players who have been promoted, and have so far done themselves and the club proud.

Noticed this morning that Mo Shubbar has gone back to Crawley. He was on the bench yesterday. To be fair wasn’t impressed with him. He showed little glimpses of what he can do. But we have a better players than him on our books. But good luck to him.

Club have confirmed that Mo has returned to Crawley, didn't make much impact so won't really be missed in my honest opinion, though I did see that Rodari has returned to Crawley from Dartford! Would love to have him back in the squad but I do feel we need Midfield options currently.

Would love to have him back in the squad but I do feel we need Midfield options currently. With all respect I think they don’t have a clue at Crawley what they are doing. Feels like bring back our players out on loan and see what we can do with them. Rodari back would be nice. But will he be a luxury instead of a necessity? Noticed earlier today that Ricky has gone out on loan to Torquay United.

Agreed on Mo, one good game on balance followed by two or three indifferent ones.
Interesting on Rodari. Three goals in nineteen appearances, only one since August, increasingly reduced minutes per game and benched for their last two games. They've washed their hands of him.
So its not one of those recalls where the parent club wants to take a look for their own benefit... he ain't going into a L2 side with those numbers. Its not one where the parent club is looking to farm him out to a high level to get better experience either by the way its worked out.
But he, we and they know it works out for him at Worthing so it might just work for all parties to give it another go here.
Could also explain the heavy pruning of the squad in recent weeks, clearing the decks for an 'incoming' or two?
All hypothetical of course, but yes please 👍🏻

Had an ok start and in the end he couldn’t get in the team.
