Well it says 'major developments' or something doesnt it. Main points of interest may be ground share and actual improvements (extended covering?) but I suspect there will be at least one other major disclosure.

Remember its the AMG the night before so I imagine that if this new "honest" approach is starting then maybe its the time they will tell us who does what in the club, new appointments (if any) and all round plans for the future.
Never know maybe some-one is chucking i a load of money to the club and the Horsham thing is a smokescreen!!!!!!
I can only imagine its positive news otherwise it would have been left to the close season as so not to distract the team from the job in hand of get in and winning the play-offs
Come on everyone start thinking a bit positive

As long as Alan Pook's great efforts to take the club forward successfully, astutely and prosperously are not undermined, all will be well I hope.
Whatever happens, I hope we all acknowledge what we HAVE achieved this season under Pook, with the overdraft from a previous administration highlighted by Pook and dealt with well by Agnew and Pook. We have a magnificent playing side, with the best side economically and for the future of WFC we've had for years. No moneymen here, just a sound, young squad which bodes well for the future.
We have a marvellous facility in Woodside Road, the envy of many in the league and we have a fanbase which is one of the best in the league.
Why would we want to meddle with such a successful, winning formula? Any announcements, I'm sure will only be good news and bolster Pook's position at the club, which can only be a plus for the long term future of Worthing FC and Pook and Agnew's marvellous community set up I'm very much looking forward to seeing the fruits of.

RED ARMY! I think that's the most positive post I've seen for ages. Questions: where does Mr Bloor fit in to this great progress and plans? and would this post have existed around the end of Jan/Feb time. fwiw I think we have done well ultimately, the squad looks good and off the pitch is as good as it's been for a good while. Not so sure about the fanbase; which is ok but not great considering the size of the town. What we do have is a decent hardcore - taking 60-70+ away every week is exceptional. If we go up then whether get bigger crowds next season will be a big thing. Its no secret that the club wants to move forward, 3-5 years to be knocking towards the conference are the words that keep being thrown around and I would love to see it happen.

I very much doubt I'd be saying this in January/February, this is very true and a point I thought to myself as I typed it!
As for Bloor, I'm not sure what he does add, as Pookie does have the nous. Bloor's a bit of a fall guy for Alan still, but he dips his hand in his pocket, so fair play to him for that, just not sure his matchday input should be as much as it is!
I think the crowds may be coming back, looking at what we had against Corinthian Casuals. i'm glad the club took back its silly position on Kev and grew up with it. That shows things are going the right way.
I wouldn't be too quick to bandy the C word (Conference) about as talk is very cheap and we can look very silly, I'd let it come organically and if we get there, we get there, if not, we'll have done our hardest.
The thing the club NEEDS now is time, space and continuity, no meddling about, changing what quite blatantly works. It's a successful time at WFC regardless of how we get on, assuming we make the play offs and it's not something that needs interferance I think.

Im with you on the c-word. This is what the club are selling to people, as their 'immediate term' plan. I am happy looking good with a young squad that is not overpaid, in the ryman prem. From there, its a great place to build. If we get Conf South, then magic.
The corinth attendance was a strange one; people that can't make saturdays possibly were along, and a few who either watch other clubs or similar may have bolstered the numbers. With no (or very few) away fans in the mix it was positive but I dont think we shoudl get over-excited about it.
I will be interested to see what the local media response is, if we do go up. The football club are usually main back-page news ahead of the basketball and rugby teams, although a bit more enthusiasm would never go amiss. The radio is another story.

The club need a Marketing / media guy to get the club out there!
Back to basics, tickets to schools to get them bring paying adults.
Day visits from kids football clubs with chances to score on a proffesional pitch. A mini Wembley tour !!!
The Town needs to know we are here, as was mentioned earlier turn out is very small compared with the size of the town.
Mascots, even ball boy days where a club's players can be ball boys for the day (as long as they bring along paying parents all these things work).
Replica kit give aways and most importantly that main bar being bought into the 21st century and made to be a place where peope want to come even when there is no match on.

i can remember a managerof ours saying the prem was our limit because our committe was not good enough to manage the pressure, so we should make the prem our goal.i think there would have to be a total outlook of views and commitment if we looked to go toconferrence, would also need good finance in place to stay there.

I agree with Maniac lets just get the prem and then concetrate on staying there.
I don't think in the last 5 years we managed higher than 7th in the Prem, so beating that, should be the goal for any season to follow for the time being.
Lets be honest if we beat that target then we would be talking play-offs again and that should be quite a distant thought for a while at least.
Now if ever get out of the Ryman leagues then that WOULD be a good enough acheivement wouldn't it?

Now we pratically know this "press conference" is NOT about the Groundshare has anyone heard anything about what it could be for?
