Come on its close to end of the season lets have a thread of nothing but positive comments about this season. Highlights, funny stories, lets all get positive so we can transfer it to the team and do our part to HELP push them forward.
LETS START WITH MY HIGHLIGHT OF 2008 MUST BE......................
89 MINUTES AGAINST THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, CAPTAIN RISES HIGH, POWERS THE NEADER DOWN AND ITS SEE YOU LATER DOVER DON'T LET THE A27 KICK YOUR ASS ON THE LONG JOURNEY HOME.
WHAT A REACTION TO THAT GOAL, THAT WILL NOT LEAVE ME FOR A LONG TIME

Making the play offs is not the be all and end all of the season i talking about so far its never to early to ask about your favourite parts of the season SO FAR!
Get this thread out the way because if we do not do it now then the end of the season would be domintaed with one thing
Come on KentRebel tells all what your best moment has been this season.............

Making the play offs is not the be all and end all of the season... Is that the same season that saw us struggling in a poor division after a poor season before? The season where we almost avoided relegation through the back door from the misfortunes of others? The season we were 99.9% certain of going straight back up? The play offs are the be all and end all - the team have performed well enough lately to be there, top of the form table and playing as we all knew they could. And the fans have been loyal and vocal enough to be rewarded with success on the field. Having said that, I've enjoyed the season, seen some good football and experienced the usual emotional rollercoaster that supporting the Rebels usually is. I can name several positive things: The Lutwyche goal, something I'd given up any hope of seeing; The Dover game and being leapt on when Ben scored; The youth team's performance vs AFC Wimbledon; Cavey's dad shouting at Sittingbourne's "injured" keeper on the first game of the season ("Someone call the pope, there's been a ****ing miracle!"); The home game vs Dorchester (Rolly, Behcet and a fine Worthing performance), and Dodge wildly stamping on the errant sprinkler at Ashford. All memorable and all fairly positive recollections of an interesting season - but we NEED to make the play-offs.

Ok then my two pence worth. If we get promoted, considering where we were over xmas time, it will be a miracle and that in itself will be the best thing.
Even if we don't go up, the highlight for this season has just been getting back into watching my local side, feeling a part of what's going on, meeting a few people, taking my lad to a game every week without spending hundreds of premiership pounds. Actually enjoying the game, for the sake of the game again. A while ago, (the start of the season before I became a 'regular') I was a bit disillusioned with football as a whole. Worthing, home and away, have restored that.
My beloved pompey have had a great season, but I've not taken as much interest this year and next season I'm giving up my fratton park season ticket in favour of watching worthing most weeks (irrespective of future sponsorship or lack thereof).

I have to agree that the play offs are almost a neccesity and the last few months have been great.
We've had some marvellous supporters games, we've had the Dorchester games as huge positives, the great performance in the cup against Walton & Hersham, the game at Whyteleafe the other week, Lutters scoring, the Dover winner from Ben.
To come, I believe Alan Pook will give us the best chance of success in the play offs and give us the best chance we can to get promotion back to the Premier. If anyone can do it it's the squad we have now.

Off the pitch stuff
Good to see all the boards up round the ground meaning that the commercial guy has done his job very well.
Youth Team
Seeing them win the Sussex area Cup for the first time in the clubs history fantastic result First piece of silverware of the season
Jamie Brotherton and Ben Andrews Partnership upfront blossoming this back end of the season both have scored vital goals and some that were even dissallowed (k's)
Left Back
Been a pain possition most of the season, but who ever has been thrust in there has done their utmost to keep that position.
Ben Andrews
Lead from the front, does not deserve some his yellows his season as he has done what other clubs should do and let the captain talk to the ref only.

I think that dover game will be most people's favorite so far. The way the other end of the pitch went deadly silent was brilliant,
I hope we get the travelling support for the play offs as we will probably have to play both of our games away.
There is talk of organising last minute coach(s) if we make the final at a cost per head of course!!

Actually enjoying the game, for the sake of the game again. Despite my recent cynicism, I couldn't agree more with that statement. Nicely said.

I agree with that statement too. Having taken a lot of different people with me to games this season they have all said how good it feels to start watching live football again.
No action replays, Chants, Live heckling of players and officials, Burger in one hand and tea in the other, terrace talk.
The good feeling when then players came over and clapped the fans at the end of the Whyteleaf game shows that it IS all worth it.
And i've seen the smile on ag's boys ' face when he's in that ground you know he's enjoying himself.
Big thing to do though to drop a Premier League season ticket to come and watch WFC.
Best desicion to make though.
