Casting a beady eye over the match preview for tomorrow on the OS, I noticed a statement in relation to Karly's possible exclusion from the starting line up. He may be rested to avoid a booking that could see him suspended for the play-offs, and with his current form I can see the sense in that - he could be vital and we wouldn't want to lose him, fair enough. The following statement made me sit up a bit though: "...if that is the case then Chris Morrow or Mark Pulling could feature." No disrepect to Mr Morrow, but with Pulling doing all that's asked every time he's sparingly used, is it really a choice?
I've said before that I think we should be using Pulling more than we do (I'd start him in every game), but if I were him and under those circumstances, to still be on the bench tomorrow would make me question why I came back!

If Morrow gets the start ahead of Pulling then i doubt we'll see Mark in a Worthing shirt again. Grabbed a word with him few weeks back and got the impression he was fairly fed up of bench warming duties which is understandable, but we don't really want to change a settled side at present. However in this situation there is only one person to bring in, Pullers is a quality player and if we do go up his experience will be vital with all the youngsters in the squad.

It HAS to be Pullers. Sadly Morrow just isn't upto it at this level. I'm sure he's a nice lad but he's simply not a Ryman 1 player.
I understand resting players and this is very sensible, but we can't forget we need three points and preferably six to get into 4th place.

I thought the 45 minutes morrow played againts CC he sat way to far back almost looked like a 5 -3 -2 formation at some points, as soon as Pullers came on he pulled the midfield back up a few yards. You can not replace a pacy pushing player like Karly with some one who sits back.
Pullers has the forward instinct needed to replace Karly and is the natural choice.
We will have to find out if Hughes is here for the play-off dates as i am sure someone said he is off after next week. If he is off then we will have to play pullers out wide at some point over the next two games wouldn't we?

We do have Jeryl Im' 99.9% sure! A relief as our wide play with him and either Lloyd or Ben has been sublime this season and it's given us an alternative threat that's one of the reasons we are where we are.

I do hope you are right.
Any ideas what will happen next year, who had the roll before Skinner and Hughes came along?

We had Matty Phelan who was fantastic and if we were lucky enough to sign Hughes, him and Phelan would be the best wingers in the league by a million miles.
We've also Richard Hudson to come back as well which will be fantastic for us.

Can not see us getting Hughes back as Yeovil Website say he isa first team player out on loan so the have plans for him i guess.
I hope next season with Injuries sorted that we do not have to go down the Loan road again as i imagine it can be costly attimes?
We do need a good squad of about twenty for next season though as i think the Reserves could probably only get two decent players knocking on the door next season. The age think will be a problem if we go up. We must retain players like Pullers to help the younger less experienced players along.
He's hoping that @borough release DD at the end of the season as i think he would come back?

If Matt Phelan is back next season, and we can hang on to Ben Johnson and Mark Pulling with Roy Pook hopefully fit again, we have the wingers to compete in the Premier or run rings round Div 1 South. Karly and Kirkwood seem to have gelled in the centre, and Jamie could get even better with another season's experience. While Hughes and Skinner have been valuable assets, I think we could cover their return to parent clubs and hopefully build a settled side around a few key players. I'd like to see another recognised striker at the club as Ben is one of the best centre backs I've seen at this level (and could still get goals from set pieces etc) and a pair of recognised full backs (PLEASE?). Even if we don't go up this season, we could have the potential to be next season's Dover Athletic if we don't fix what ain't broke.

How does Richard Hudson sound as a recognised striker?
At the back I'd suggest showing faith in Enzo Benn and Roy Pook. If we were to sign DD from EB then we could have him and Stuart Axten at the back, letting Ben Andrews either go up front or at the back, dependant on where we need anyone. It'd be a truly strong side.

At the back I'd suggest showing faith in Enzo Benn and Roy Pook. Yeah, good call on Enzo but still prefer Roy going forward than in defense. And sorry about forgetting Mr Hudson, but I thought he was more of a Kirkwoodesque midfield player anyway. Lucky I'm not a football manager!
