Slightly off-topic but nonetheless linked in to this subject of the club raising funds from its supporters, out of interest have any current Worthing season-ticket holders had any contact from the Club about the aborted season just gone ? I am aware that Brighton have recently done so, and offered the choice of a refund or a donation to charity, and I hold a Worthing season-ticket but have had no contact from them , nor read anything on the Club website since ? Given there was around a quarter of the fixtures unplayed and the ticket cost was £160-£180, before one makes a decision on making any further possible donations, I'm curious to hear if anyone has heard anything on that subject ?

Hi mate, I spoke to George about this - Season Ticket renewals (when we resume) will be cheaper to compensate for the games lost so you won't lose out. Hope this helps Edit: Good of the club to provide this, perhaps you may be able to get a partial refund on the current season by contacting the league who expunged results etc. Anyway onwards and upwards!

A refund? on money I spent and forgot about nearly a year ago? after the level of entertainment we got from the season we had? The thought never entered my head.
Surely you buy a season ticket to support your club. Why would you want money back?
I'll be renewing but I hope the club give the option to pay full price for those who want to.

All sounds exciting. There seems to be many clubs looking to return with refurbished grounds, all of which will be good for the matchday experience. Over at Bognor as part of a planned long term upgrade we are spending the best part of 250k which will help take us into the 21st century. Fortunately good management has meant we now have most of that money. Good luck with your crowd funder and I look forward to seeing the end product. Perhaps my old friend Heljag will dig deep as that's a lot to raise !!! Like I said good luck and continue to stay safe

So tedious....

Unfortunately Charliesb that is down to the licensing laws and nothing to do with the club. The police have set those guidelines

To continue the slightly off topic at a tangent thread to this, re season tickets, there are 2 reasons I DON'T buy one despite attending most if not all home games. First I am more than happy to pay a tenner at the gate, and second, I do so in the knowledge that over the course of the season I actually contribute more financially to the club. And yes, I do understand that season ticket sales enable clubs a degree of forward planning, something that may prove rather tricky at present.

Thanks for coming back on that point virgs1, appreciate that. And to Keithsson, who absolutely has the club's best interest at heart, and wishes them well, as do I, it was purely the absence of any comment from the Club that had surprised me, given how very well they do communicate with their fans on most things. Virgs1's reply is exactly the sort of excellent PR that I mean, and is all that's needed for most fans to nod and go, yep, good club this, well run by good people (which probably hasn't always been so in the past), meaning I'm only too happy to keep supporting my local team by renewing/donating to appeals etc. I've watched the team since back before the Barry Lloyd era, so have a good recollection of the downs as well as the ups !

No problem, communication is key but it's not always easy to get things out there. Happy to answer any questions if I know the answer myself! Keep The Faith, big things coming

Took the dog for an 'inland' walk this morning (folk seem to have given up social distancing on the prom!).
It took me past the ground and I was pleased to see builders vans and a large skip.
Has anyone been inside and seen what progress has been made thus far?

The latest I heard was works started yesterday and they are due to last 6 weeks. Entry is forbidden to Woodside at the moment for all staff.

Not sure if this heralds the new LED lighting has been done already?
...but even if it doesn't, it's a very nice shot of the ground.
