Very sad to report that Heljag died today. Know in this parish by another name of course, known to us all. We are all in a state of shock at this news. He was a kind of AwayBoys mascot, not in a fancy dress costume kind of way, but in a legend kind of way. A real legend. Standing on the terrace, in the shed, will never be the same again. A huge loss. A huge character. Worthing through and through. God bless you comrade. RIP.

A sad day.
Always liked Kev,proper Worthing so to speak. Always stuck with them, even through all the crap times. Shame he wonโt be here to see you win it as champions, but you know deep down heโll be looking down cheering you on. I was actually looking forward to being able To congratulate him when you did/do. As Cityboy said, rivalries aside, thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

Ah crap, that's terrible news.
Only knew him through here and as Rebel Yell's greatest cameo co-host but was aware of the affection he was held in by young and old alike.
RIP Rebel ๐

Just got home and seen the news about Kev! Shocked to say the least and a great shame that a true rebel won't be able to see out the end of a ( Hopefully ) successful season! Kev was the voice you heard in the stands back when I first went 17 years ago, I remember a cold night with only 60 odd fans but Kev was there! A legend has been lost ๐ RIP Kev
