Up to 6th... NLS Table - LinkI don't support Havant so I don't really care, but why wait until you're 3-0 down to start peppering the opposition goal? Nuts 🤪 They were awful, so what was disappointing was that for large parts of the game, primarily the first half, there looked little between the teams. The second goal was key, a scrappy mess well smacked in eventually by Ollie. After that they had to do something more than pack their box and their heads were down too, chances came more often. A rare moment of clinical quality in the game from Cash for the third was the highlight. 3-0, but in truth we came away pleased with the points but a bit underwhelmed by the game. I'm a big Odei fan but I can't have him in the reckoning for MOTM, loads of misplaced passes tonight, not his day. Boringly repetitive but, yet again, I can't look past Joe Rye for that. The boy just oozes calm and composure. Surprised by the complete ommision of Jake Robinson and Micheal Klass but both were in the stand and seemed fit & well so presumably it was a managed rotation with lots of games coming up. Good chance for Greg Luer to gain some confidence coming on with the game effectively won. Clean through and primed for a first goal in red, he fluffed his big moment, never even getting a shot away. The words 'month of Sundays' springs to mind with him, maybe he needs to go out on loan and find his confidence and shooting boots somewhere else. I know we don't have many options up front but what's the point of a body just for the sake of a body? A word too, as I always do when it's merited, for the ref. He had a good game. Crowd, a bit disappointing in terms of numbers and noise... but then on the latter it was never really a 'seat of your pants' game. All a bit 'meh' really. Onwards... to better 🤞🏻

Can only beat what's in front of you. We could and should of had more but nice to get a comfortable win and a confidence builder for a lot of upcoming fixtures.
Re Ollie, almost as if putting your top scorer up front and in positions to score works. Chuffed for him, hopefully he can get on a run now.
Anyone else think the crowd numbers we're inflated?

Dreary game for large parts interspersed with some good football. Came alive for a while after the first goal then blew hot and and cold. Cracking third goal. Kane wills played well, all over the park and positioned himself well for the headed goal. Their goalie was very good and deserved to have a better team in front of him.

Boring first twenty five until a tactical injurie gave Adam time to wake them from their slumber. Still very unbalanced on the left side with Wills playing there instead of what all good teams have, a left sided player. Pretty patterns with the build up but the finishing is woeful which will hold us back in a tighter game and against better opponents.

Although it was quieter noise wise (we're all tired), I thought it was a good crowd. Nearly 1000 on a cold November evening that only 3 years ago we would of accepted on a Saturday!

I said before the game this was a must win game. Personally didn’t think this was our best game but a professional performance from the team. If it wasn’t for their keeper it could have been 6 or more. Like someone else said this was the worst team I have seen at Woodside for a while. I thought Dulwich were poor last season but this was a whole level below that. After we went 1-0 up it almost looked like they couldn’t be bothered anymore. And if they are fulltime/hybrid time I really wonder what they do during the week.
Credit where it is due Rocco didn’t have much to do but made some good saves towards the end. And someone else suggested Leur to go out on loan. Which I personally think is a good idea. Maybe drop down a league and score some goals to get a bit confidence back. I know he is coming back from injury. But I really expect him to do better when he was played through with a long ball. X or Twitter claimed it was a good challenge/tackle from the defender. But being behind the goal and having a great view. It was just a very poor touch from Leur Onwards and upwards to Saturday. And another win wil out is in the mix again with a game in hand.

A well needed 3 points after Saturday, really sets us up for the rest of the season. Now is the time to put a run together in the league we have the talent and the individuals to do so its now a question of if they can do it?

What I also found very odd is that they left Mo Faal on the bench... who I think is a very good all round striker! Scored plenty for them last year but has been on the bench alot recently, very odd when they looked so weak up top!

He'll be looking to move on when they are relegated... sooner even if he doesn't fit the new managers plans/style. And with us simultaneously moving through semi-pro towards a pro squad too?... ...stranger things have happened. PS - On the good/bad attendance discussion, the sub 1,000 last night dropped us two places to 8th for home attendances, still above average for the league... NLS Attendances 23/24 - Link

NLS Attendances 23/24 - Link I'd take him in a heartbeat, quick, direct, good in the air, quick feet! He's something we don't have!! As mentioned earlier Luer looks so shirt on confidence! He actually got into some good positions when he came on last night, but you could sense others didn't want to pass to him! Maybe 2 months at say Whitehawk or Lewes would help bost him up?

Having seen a post on FB, it now appears Faals game time may be even more limited at Havant seeing as they have clearly just spent big to sign Ryan Seager from Dorking who made his debut last night... wouldn't have known he was on the park the way they played, they also signed Keiran Phillips from Kiddy on loan...
Spending big to get out of trouble it appears, didn't like them last season and their attitude was terrible at the away game and tried to kick us off the pitch at home, so I'd enjoy seeing them go down and digging themselves out of a hole of their own making!

I heard that we tried to sign him when he left Enfield but Havant offered him far more money.
