"They were the best of times starts, they were the worst of times starts".
Following 'the great upheaval' the respective fortunes of Worthing FC and York City have been very different... thankfully it is us that still retain (ahem) great expectations.

Taunton's season has been beset by problems on and off the pitch. Off the field a huge 'belt tightening' operation that followed financial difficulties has naturally precipitated problems on the field too. They even hit top spot as deep into the season as match 11 but its been downhill since then. Normally you'd have been insulated from relegation fears this season as there have been four 'basket case' clubs... but Welling's impressive recent resurgence means the plummet has continued down into the drop zone.

Currently 21st with 34 points from 31 games, hope is not completely lost as they have lots of games in hand. That brings its own problems though as late fixture congestion rarely brings great results. We remain 3rd after our coupon busting win at Chelmsford with 65 points from 36 games.

Earlier in the season we played out a 1-1 draw in Taunton Greg Luer with the goal... i'll say that again, GREG LUER scored! Last season we couldn't beat them home or away. We drew, again 1-1 (Ibby Akanbi) but lost away late on 3-2 (Ollie, Ibby). But for your viewing pleasure this time it has to be that momentous event in the away game away this season...

Form wise it'll be of no surprise given what we know already that their form is bad. They lie 21st with just 4 points from the last available 18. We are 5th with 12/18.
Respective home and away form is closer. We haven't been tearing up trees at home and sit in 11th for home form with 10 from the last 18 available at Woodside. But Town are down in 23rd for away form with just 2 points. Those were 1-1 draws at Welling (3rd Feb, so not the 'peak' Welling we faced) and Dartford.

Another factor is the games they have had postponed recently. Fresh they'll certainly be, but there's a sliding scale where physical freshness tips over into lack of match sharpness. They've played just three times in the last month, even despite our postponement at Dartford we've played five games in that period.
If the numbers for Chelmsford looked daunting, the numbers for this one are favourable. But low threat isn't no threat as we showed on Monday. Aarran and his team will need to have them bang on for this game to get the job done... Farnborough on Tuesday looks a lot tougher
All Saturday Fixtures...
Aveley v Weymouth
Bath City v Farnborough
Braintree Town v Slough Town
Eastbourne Borough v Hemel Hempstead Town
Hampton & Richmond Borough v Chippenham Town
Havant & Waterlooville v Tonbridge Angels
Maidstone United v St Albans City
Torquay United v Dartford
Truro City v Chelmsford City (19:30 @ Gloucester)
Weston-super-Mare v Dover Athletic
Worthing v Taunton Town
Yeovil Town v Welling United
You would like to hope for a good turnout of support for our new regime and their 100% record. Not least because its their first home game but also off the back of that tremendous win in the week. The weather isn't terrible and Albion have no game.
Come on you Rebels!
