Got my fingers burnt with Dartford so I'm not going to town on this one ( pun very much intended!). Chippenham got soaked yesterday and there's rain coming Thursday daytime and all day Friday too. As postponements go if they did get a weekend off it wouldn't be the worst timing... we can start to reintroduce the squad to each other in training. Well that was disappointing! Must win next week. If we don’t I fear the season might well be over.

I've got to be honest and say I think we might be at the stage of putting this season to bed...
Current form highlights we simply aren't good enough to go up, we would get slaughtered at a step higher! We might well be grateful this is happening now rather than starting a new season with this kind of relegation form and then having a dreadful backs to the wall season! Get a new boss in, get settled and lets build again because clearly we need to have a restart here, lost 5 of the last 6 is worrying relegation form!

Down to 5th... NLS Table - Link...and by Sunday's game we could well be 7th, playing an 8th placed Bath City for whom a win would take them to a point behind us with a game in hand... to knock out of the play-off places altogether. How quickly the post Chelmsford optimism has evaporated. CTFC Forum match thread - Bluebird Forum" We made Worthing look average"... I think we'd be delighted with 'average' right now, this form is much worse than average 😔

Had a chat with Harrison today before Dorkings game today and asked him as he’s had a years experience in the Nat League how he thought Worthing would do if they went up, and he said what a lot of supporters are saying is they wouldn’t survive a season as that league is so professional. After seeing Dorking/Solihull today it would be impossible not to agree with him.

I think we need to be full time as a bare minimum, next season is year two of the mentioned three year plan.
What's unfolding now just underlines how short we are from readiness.
Ideally the new manager has NL experience so as to be perfectly placed to know what's required.

Ideally the new manager has NL experience so as to be perfectly placed to know what's required. And in addition to a manager with experience at NL level. Maybe a few players that have experience at that level as well?

I would fear more the likes Ebbsfleet/ Woking/ aldershot I think NLS is dorkings level, at one point Mark white will get bored of funding then and loosing money every year. First time they have ever gone down be interesting to see if the ‘new’ fans get bored etc

First time they have ever gone down be interesting to see if the ‘new’ fans get bored etc . They have a much more experienced team than we have. When we played them a few season ago we had a full squad and they played a second team. And still comfortable beat us. Take a look when we played Farnborough at home the other week. Aaron Kuhl one of their better players ran rings around us. On loan from Dorking at Farnborugh. If they can afford to loan players out like that…. Re Marc White. Not sure if he will get bored of Dorking. It seems it is his baby. And I don’t think he looks like the person who will give Dorking up like that. But nothing has been decided yet so a lot can happen between now and then. We might still go up😉 but whatever happens we will need to strengthen the squad.
