Listend to the game on Yell.
Deserved winners ๐
We rode our luck but we deserved it on our character and play.
One to Tuesday!

Don't waste the good champagne just yet if you care about mathematical certainties ๐ I still make it still mathematically possible, albeit highly improbable, we can miss out. Farnborough are nine points behind us with nine points to play for. Aveley are in action as I write these very words, against a knackered Truro. If they win they'll be six points behind us with six still to play for. GD for both teams would require a phenomenal swing... but even so. Eventually FWP will catch up and show our score but we remain 5th... NLS Table - LinkResults depending we can though guarantee the play-offs on Tuesday at Dartford ... and even take the coveted 3rd spot ๐๐ป

Their Manager faced three different interviews, not one mention of the quality Worthing showed today, just moans and groans about the officials. The same officials that awarded them a penalty that they subsequently missed. Must have been the refs fault as well ๐๐คฃ๐คฃ

Me, me, me. Woe is me. A summary... "Officals, grrrr"... ..."eight can carry three but three can't carry eight"... ..."we created excellent chances, didn't take them"... ..."they need ice in our veins, not enough winners"... ..."officials" (again - despite after mentioning them the first time, saying I'm not going to blame them!). You can have this advice for free son. Here's what classy managers do Mr Cooper, they acknowledge it wasn't all about them, it wasn't all just one big hard luck story. Classy managers, even if its a token mention, say something like this... ..."credit the opposition, they took their chances well". ๐ค๐คจ

Quality day out today! Brad excellent. Against a big defence, he got in front or behind to win the ball and notched thanks to the unselfish Felix. Kane was all over the place, Ollie played deeper but worked hard and guided Brad well. The defence did well and minimised silly fouls to reduce their dangerous set play potential. Ollie Wright was excellent and his early save as well as the penalty save prob earned him MOM from me. End of. What a game!
In balance though, we looked like we forgot studs as we slid around the pitch and they certainly had enough chances to have taken the lead. But so did we, as both teams sent shots over the bar (or stadium in some of their cases). Lots of missed passes and tactical fouls in less dangerous areas. They had scouted us well and picked off lots of 3rd man runs but never really countered to damage us. To see Joe Felix cramping up at 70 minutes and Kane blowing shows how much we put into that game (despite any errors) and it was heart that won it!
Great crowd to play in front of and it certainly felt like a League game at times. 5/10 for food from the burger vans before the game. Disappointing food. Loved the game. REBELS!!!
