This game could've been sooo much different. As we left the pitch at Weymouth after that glittering 4-1 win we were ten points behind Saturday's hosts. In the seven games that followed Yeovil dropped eleven points. Had we been able to maintain the wonderful form we were on ( we'd dropped just two points in the previous seven games) we would've got ahead of them. As it was we dropped a whopping seventeen points ourselves in the same period after Weymouth. But hey, "woulda, coulda, shoulda"... we are where we are now... Match Centre - LinkMatch Tickets - YTFC WebsiteAs best as I can navigate it only gives access to purchase seat tickets in the seated section to the left of the away terrace ( there are 314 left so no rush!). Unless someone can navigate the site better than I, one can only presume that tickets for the terrace are POTD. Minibus/Coach - ( Currently no further events on the WFCSA Travel page) Ground Guide - Huish ParkBack in October they gave us a good working over but we were still in the game before a late late sickener... WFC v Yeovil Town Highlights (21/10/23) - YouTubeWe all know where The Glovers are in the table, they've been top since match 11. We are 14 points behind them in 4th at the time of writing, that could be 5th if Maidstone beat Taunton tonight. NLS Table - LinkForm wise and obviously we're coming out of the crest of a slump, but they are too. So I'm going to break with tradition and go with form over the shorter four game spread. We're in a different place right now to where we were in early March and the two home defeats to Taunton and Farnborough can therefore be sacrificed. I'm sure Glover's fans would say the same about their form 5&6 games ago. Consequently both teams are on 7 points from the available 12, we shade things in 5th place to their 7th by virtue of a better goal difference. Home and away, again over 4 games, we are 9th with 6/12 on the road, they are 12th for home form with the same 6/12. In those last four home games they've beaten Weston and Torquay but lost to Welling and Chippenham. NLS Form Table (last 4 H&A) - LinkSo looking purely at the numbers there is actually very little in it. The two sides have the same overall form and the same respective home/away form. Of course we know that our 'thermostat' has been a bit temperamental lately, as likely to blow cold as blow hot. But there's nothing to fear from their record and if we can maintain the good and stop the bad from creeping back in we have every chance. Squad wise and it may or may not be soon enough for Nicky Wheeler to come back in, likewise KLF with his dead leg from Saturday. All Saturday fixtures... Bath City v Tonbridge Angels Chelmsford City v Slough Town Eastbourne Borough v Weymouth Farnborough v Maidstone United* Hampton & Richmond Borough v Taunton Town Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Hemel Hempstead Town v Dover Athletic St Albans City v Chippenham Town Truro City v Aveley Welling United v Torquay United Weston-super-Mare v Braintree TownYeovil Town v Worthing * half and half because of their Wednesday night fixture. Safe travel to all heading over and come on you Rebels!

The SA aren’t running any more transport this season as the club made the decision to book their own transport to go west. There was no point competing so we decided to let them offer seats on those coaches with fans. Your not the first one to see that it is quite confusing so we are going to talk to the club over the summer to ensure 1 booking engine

Regarding the ticketing at Yeovil:
I've only seen Worthing at Huish Park once, and that was nearly 30 years ago. Then, the away terrace was not opened, because we were not taking enough fans to justify it (a bit like Torquay this season). So our 20-or-so fans went and stood in the home end (as we were attacking that way in the first half), which made the stewards nervous. This resulted in them opening the away terrace and allowing the 400 or 500 home fans behind the goal to change ends!
Obviously, Yeovil have been a League club since then, and I imagine that free movement around the ground is no longer possible. So the seated away referred to in Keithsson's preview notes is probably the only area available to us.
As an aside, from watching highlights, it seems that Torquay have been opening up their away terrace, to what appear to be home fans (judging from the reaction when they concede at that end). Maybe Yeovil will do the same for their fans, if the anticipated large attendance materialises.

Glovers fan in peace. Safe trip to Somerset for those of you who make it.
As already mentioned, it's unlikely we would open the Away Terrace - you're not missing much, especially if it rains - as have only done so a few times this season. I would be surprised if we opened it to home fans as well, even though we will officially win the league if we win (Chelmsford fail to win), so should get a decent attendance. I doubt we would be challenging the league attendance record again though.
We were indeed watching Worthing very closely until recently - in fairness we will win the league due to the lack of consistent competitor due to any of our own brilliance (although we were pretty impressive in the first part of the season, perhaps complacency set in). Our form has been very poor recently and confidence quite low. We have been missing a few key players, in particular our right-back Smith who has a disproportionate impact on the side due to his quality and experience, but fingers-crossed he will be back Saturday. Torquay aside, we have not really played good football consistently for months, but are good defensively and have just about enough quality to score a goal. It wouldn't surprise me if we are watching Chelmsford's result closely come late Saturday afternoon.
Best of luck in the Playoffs and safe travels.

The only thing from my point of view in the meantime... is there a web link to this alternative 'club run' coach booking page?...as opposed to waiting on the whim of the club media to put up a tweet about it with an embedded link. They seem to only tweet about it when there's only a limited number of seats left, or worse still its sold out... obviously people are able to book seats before this point somehow because it'd nearly sold out... but where, and how? I do hope it's not become a case of 'who you know, not what you know'. The availability of coach seats should be open to all on a first come first served basis 🤨 I know this isn't in your wheelhouse but if there is an external web link I just can't find for this, please point me in the right direction as there's Dartford & St Albans still to come... unless you know already there isn't anything being run for them. Cheers 👍🏻

Already spoken to the club today about this and hopefully for next season we may well be on one booking site (WFCSA travel hopefully) Keep an eye out, we may be able to sort something for dartford! Gary is looking in to it!

Unfortunately not, as attendances were only regularly reported from about 30 years ago. Needless to say, it would not have been a home match (the highest home attendance being 3690 v Wimbledon in 1936).
The highest reported crowd I have found is 6000, for the 1921-22 Senior Cup final v Eastbourne at the Dripping Pan, although that sounds like an estimate. 6000 was also the reported crowd for our FA Cup match at the Goldstone v Brighton in 1932, but the Albion's website shows this as 5952. For comparison, there were 5430 at the Manor Ground when we played Oxford United in the FA Cup in 1982.
I suspect that the highest crowd might have come in the late 1940s/early 1950s in the Corinthian League, or possibly in the Athenian League Premier Division in the mid-1960s. Some of our opponents in those leagues had particularly large grounds, especially those in the greater London area (e.g. Southall, Dagenham, Walton & Hersham). Failing that, it could be at somewhere like the Pilot Field in the 1920s, as Hastings were well-supported, and there seems to have been a boom in crowd numbers in the post-WW1 period.

Apologies for the random diversion.
But mentioning football in the 1920's its so weird to think that 100 years ago so much was so different... but at the same time exactly the same.
They'd find everything about life in the 2020's amazing, we'd find everything about life in the 1920's soo quaint... but frankly boring.
Yet what we are doing now, and they were doing then is exactly the same. We make the same pilgrimage to the same place to watch eleven players of the same club try and beat the opposition.
Scary too to think I came into this world nearer to 1920 than 2020 😳
