We’ve now scored 94 goals and with three games to go, must be favourites to achieve the magic ton?
Amazing achievement as the next highest scorers are Yeovil and Slough with 73.
Others will know if we’ve scored 100 in a season before, but obviously not at this high a level.

I agree it would be great to reach a 100. But on the other hand it would be nice to have a few less goals less conceded. Think they are only 6 or 7 teams that conceded more.

We're already two goals scored ahead of last season's final tally of 92. With three games to go there's every chance of reaching the ton because at 94 goals in 43 games we average 2.186 per game.
But. Darts is unlikely to be a goal fest, tough pitch, oppo fighting a relegation battle. Saints too, they still have an outside shot at a play-off and its their final home game of the season.
Weston though?, maybe. But any which way you look at it a 'one last hurrah' pressure off final game it will not be. We'll have a play-off game to follow it so won't go 'both barrels', we'll save as much as we can for that.
The only hypotetical scenario currently where chasing goal difference will be needed is if on the last game we somehow find ourselves chasing down Chelmsford for 2nd place as they're currently +3 ahead of us. If we're vying with Stones, Braintree, Hampton, Bath etc for placings on the final game then we just need to win. GD won't be a factor, so knowing how generous our defence can be, risking points by chasing a three figure goal tally would be dumb.
Because at the end of the day, in isolation 100 goals scored is simply just a novelty milestone. It looks good on paper but doesn't mean a great deal.
The gold standard each season is of course to get promoted. Next best is to improve on the season before... the sought after 'year on year progress'.
In that regard we're definitely on course.
Can't do much about what other teams achieve in a season so promotion/league placing isn't really as key an indicator as points won over the season.
We are on 75 points, we finished 22/23 on 78 points. Just four more points from three games and, regardless how the play-offs work out for us, we can hold our heads up and say we improved year on year again 👏🏻
THAT'S the key indicator our progress as a club hasn't stalled... well, that and increasing the average gate, which we know already we've improved even if no-one turns up for Weston-super-Mare 😄

The other times we've scored 100 league goals are: 1935-36 - Sussex County League (107 from 26) 1936-37 - Sussex County League (116 from 26) 1938-39 - Sussex County League (133 from 26) 1992-93 - Isthmian League Div 2 (105 from 42)

He does strike me as a natural replacement for Ollie (assuming we can't keep them both).
How many starts has Brad made, as his goals-per-game ratio must be phenomenal?

A total of 499 mins played for his 6 goals so far, includes subbed on and off. Also 1 yellow card in the league and 28 Senior Cup minutes

Warning, major stat attack incoming For comparison as I'm bored and it's tipping down outside :- Brad 1.082 goals per 90 minutes + 1 yellow Ollie 1.022 goals per 90 minutes + 9 yellows All only Connie South games and I can't account for minutes added on at the end of each half

That's a lot to ask from a young player whose just made their breakthrough. He's got talent, drive and seems like his head is screwed on. But rarely does initial promise continue indefinitely, he'll have a dip.
Firstly he's benefitting currently from playing up top with a fantastic, experienced role model who probably won't be here next season.
Secondly he's benefitting from being unknown, the opposition just see a young kid starting out and give him little or no attention. Once he's known there'll be a plan for him.
Thirdly he's currently 'living the dream' and properly appreciates the opportunity, giving it 100%. With time though inevitably comes complacency, standards then drop.
I hope both he and Ollie are here next season and become a proper double act. The competition for goals will push Ollie, the presence of Ollie will benefit Brad. But I think that's a forlorn hope 😔

The lad has scored goals for fun for years now. It doesn't seem to matter what the level is, he just sticks the ball in the net. And that ability, or knack, or whatever, is extremely difficult to coach - you've either got 'it' or you haven't. He'll need to be our next goal machine as the one we've had for the past few years is almost certainly going to be plying his trade elsewhere next season.
