Braintree through after extra time! Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Braintree the only team we've both failed to score against and take any points from this season. You are correct. Lost 4-0 away. But that was a funny game. Can’t remember who but they got injured in the warm up. Which meant Luca Woodhouse made his debut. And that didn’t go really well. And at home it was a 1-0 loss. Mistake between keeper and defender which led to them scoring. But before we start thinking about a home final and Braintree let’s concentrate on tomorrow first. Maidstone are not a pushover and it will be a tough game.

We must take into account tomorrow just how bad officials are at this level. They will take great pride in being the main man IF we let them. Let’s just play our way, WALK AWAY from any flashpoints, stop any back chat and just play OUR FOOTBALL,,, OH and a proper defensive performance will help the cause. Well we ticked all four corners of Woodside bingo last week... Give away an early first goal ✔ Spirited turnaround ✔ Stupid defensive calamity ✔ Second sprited turnaround ✔ If we stopped shooting ourselves in the foot we'd be dangerous 🤣 Your mention of the officials reminded me of a premonition dream I had the other night... a red card was key but I couldn't tell you which side got it 😬 It's the Worthing way to bludgeon teams into submission by outscoring them regardless of our defensive capabilities 😂

Just to be clear, I wasn't thinking beyond tomorrow, I was just pointing out that Braintree, should we end up facing them, wouldn't be any less difficult than Chelmsford would have been. And, as my predictions this season have been so wildly inaccurate, I'm going to say I think we'll get beat tomorrow

Words cannot describe how excited I am for tomorrow. From minute 1-90 we'll be with them all the way. Our opportunity to grasp with both hands, come on lads. Please.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Braintree the only team we've both failed to score against and take any points from this season. Off the top of my head that sounded about right. I checked on this, and I still think that's right... NLS Match Grid - LinkThat said I could still be wrong as looking at that grid for too long makes your eyes go batty 🤪 But hey, its all entirely academic if we don't win tomorrow. Maybe we should consider some sort of yellow card system for mentioning 'the B word' between now and tommorow evening 😉 Watching the other semi final yesterday, the Ref didn’t have one of his better games, clearly you can’t blame it on COVID or the war in the Ukraine ( a well worn excuse for changes in society) but the standard of officials in the NLS appears to have got worse in our two years playing in this league. Let’s hope we get one of the good ones today 👍 (And linesmen who keep up with play😂)

Good point Harty regarding the officials, but sadly the standard is so bad in the Premier league I don’t hold out much hope for this level. Although in many walks of life a good referee will probably never get to where he deserves. Let’s hope they can get through only 90 minutes today.

I'm expecting a tight physical game.
Maidstone have big physical players which is the type we can struggle against but we have players like Felix and Fahl etc who can be an absolute menace for opposition defences.

Well what can I say? We are in the final! Not the best game but who cares. It had to be Ollie Pearce who scored the winner!

Delighted with that. Rubbish match, and very well could have lost it, but our Ollie's saved us.
Onwards! COYR!

To quote Sir Fergie...
Football? bloody hell!
A tale of two Ollies, a cross bar and a Joe were the difference today imo. The whole team put a shift in. I wasn't expecting a pretty game as we know how Maidstone play but I thought we acquitted our selves well. Credit to Maidstone they really made it hard and could nicked it themselves.
For me today gave us a glimpse what it could be like in the NLP getting stuck in and digging deep to get results.
Well done Arran and the team incredible atmosphere today one of best at Woodside I've seen never heard such a roar when OP bagged the winner. Woodside just shook!!
Well done to the club for working hard to organise and run things smoothly.
Bring on Monday!
